I'm 27 years old and was told I have a somewhat rare type of avascular necrosis in my hip(rare in what way I'm not sure) and am getting surgery this month. Been dealing with alot of pain and limited movement for months and am so happy they finally figured out what's wrong. Tho a little scared since they said I was way to young for this to happen and are taking steps in surgery to avoid having a hip replacement in my 20s. Yikes. Unfortunately I have alot of medical issues but I'm glad one mystery is solved!

Did you get hip replacement? How are you doing now?

Sadly at 42, I was diagnosed with AVN in both shoulder (both replaced in 2013), both hips (left replaced in 2013, right had stem cell with bone implant in 2/2015), have stage III AVN also in both knees & both elbows. I'm delaying replacement surgery as LONG as possible :)). Had right wrist checked & Yay, I only have carpal tunnel with NO sign of AVN. 8 joints positive w/ 1/2 surgically repaired. I now (at 46. Its 10/2015), I am at 4 hrs with home health. I have a total of 22'spots' being treated. I have Physical Therapist who started with me in the beginning when11/2011when Dr was having me treated for neurapathy. I have had the most diagnosies of AVN at 1 time in TX & possibly USA. My biggest "hate", is that if you were to see me...you'd never know. I look very healthy. I eat as good as I can and stay on top of PT. I am glad I found this video as there is hardly ANY guidance for those with this disease, let alone those 'ate up' with it like me (you should in tour video less then 3% have multiple AVN attacked joints. I've started a group page on Facebook that anyone can 'google' that title v find my page. I've had several surgeries photographed & my goal is to show everyone they can have a normal, happy, SEXUAL (always my biggest question : how the hell do you have sex) life. I've been posting random things leading up to the Blog episode #1 that will take you back to 2011 when my body went to shit :),Best of luck to all. EXCELLENT & very well organized video !!!!! TWO thumbs up, Dr

Damn that'd terrible, I got AVN in my right hip around the age of 25 and had to walk on it for 4 years because of America's oh so wonderful healthcare system, I've been worried it might begin to effect my other hip and dur to an injury in my right shoulder when I was younger there as Hopefully you got the treatment needed

@mytube tuber notmuch I could do I became homeless because of it and eventually worked with a charity after staying with my mother for a while, you just sort of learn to live with it, the doctor said my bone dug about 2 inches into my joint or bone or whatever been much better off since the replacement, I just worry about it happening again

Honey I don't take meds either, I was diagnosed with lupus SLE. They pump so much steroids like 18 a day until the disease was suppressed. I was ween of the drugs. Unfortunately my bones are a wreck. I refuse to take pain meds or any meds because of the level of toxicity it causes. I am really praying that God help me because the core decompression surgery isn't helping. Which means I have to do hip replacement soon. 😥

I have it at 33 in both hips. My father was an M.D. and my mother was a nurse. Neither one had heard of AVN before. I kept explaining that when I walked it felt like bone rubbing on bone and it took so long to get a diagnosis.

I came from Philippines, 39 years old female. I also suffer AVN just like you, I dont like titanium in my hips. For 3 years my two hips are already affected and I'am almost lying in bed beacause of pain, cant no longer climb upstairs and lossing up hope. I search an other option because I dont like surgery, AVN dont stop even if you go on surgery and it will probably affects all the joints. But then I found a food supplement that is so very effective in this case and now I can able to climb upstairs and walk in a distance without pain. I tried many food supplements but none of them treats AVN until I found this food supplement that helps me a lot. Its DNA repair and cell/tissue regeneration,it repairs joints and cartilage. Remember that AVN occurs because there is no blood supply in the bone thats why cells and tissue dies. Why go on surgery if there is natural treatment. I just want to help and share the option that I use in treating AVN. My email add (uachomedeco@outlook.com)
