AVATAR - Full Show - Live @ The Castle Theater - Bloomington, IL 9/17/23

From the first time I saw AVATAR open up for Lacuna Coil and Sevendust, on what I believe was their first US tour; every show is gotten more spectacular. Johannes works the crowd far better than most frontmen in music period. These guys played for almost two hours tonight and rocked the packed house. The opening bands were fantastic too. It’s probably the best $39 I paid for a ticket in a very long time.
I ran out of room on this phone for the last two songs, Smells Like a Freakshow and Hail the Apocalypse, but have those on my other phone, so will post those on a separate posting.

The fucking scream in valley of disease really helps when you’re lifting lol bloody angel and hail the apocalypse are my favorite songs to play on guitar and my twin can scream like Johannes also we are originally from Kalmar Sweden lol

What's crazy is that these guys are way too underrated. While they aren't 💯 ready yet to be headlining arenas, they should at least be given a chance to play bigger venues and headline more festivals.

I think they appreciate these places they originally toured in.. I know I’m thankful they come and play here still. They’re definitely headlining the mid-size arenas. Believe it or not after Ghost won the Grammy for Cirice… they played the same location a few months later in April 2016… that show is also on my page.. check it out if you like Ghost.. one of the last live shows with Omega!
