Avatar Land AVATAR MAKER - Disney TURNED ME INTO A NA'VI

theMCGuiRE review takes a look Disney's brand new Pandora: World of Avatar land and gets turned into a Na'vi ! Within Disney's Animal Kingdom, this new Avatar Land is awesome by itself but one of the coolest things you can do there (in my opinion) is get your very own customized Na'vi. They offer an experience to do this inside the main Pandora gift store (Windtraders) within the new area.
You will be able to get a 3D scan of your face and they create a Na'vi action figure customized to your face...so your very own Avatar! I mean how cool is that. So we take a look at what that process includes and go through a full review of the actual figure. we also have a special guest appearance by the infamous baby Banshee!

I am a little skeptical about whether it truly is sculpted to a persons face. I feel like they have a bunch of different heads that the computer matches with and they pop it on the body you chose. I would want to see the behind the scenes of the making of one, but I doubt that will happen.

agreed & turn a $15 action figure into a $75 one. I think the whole Avatar Land is overyhyped. 8 years after the movie..... 2 rides...!??! nothing ground breaking except the night time lighting.

Have you actually gone? It's an awe inspiring land and Flight of Passage is incredible (and I don't particularly care for soarin type attractions)

Flight of passage was ok but nothing compared to say - The Amazing Spider-Man ride which opened in 1999 yet still out does every theme park ride using 3D technology I have ever seen and actually has a story and better 3D with MOVING ride vehicles so you feel like you are actually moving not in a row with all these other people right next to you. I suppose if your a big Avatar fan and never rode any other 3D rides before I would call it amazing but compared to all the other rides before it it didn't raise the bar. I didn't "feel" like I was there I felt like I was sitting watching a really nice animated sequence but turn your head more than 30 degrees and see all the non moving people next to you the illusion is gone. The boat ride was ok but again... not worth 3 hour waits for cool blacklites and 1 count em 1 animatronic in the whole 'land'. I feel cameron probably had higher expectations and Disney went with budget cuts.

Lego Land Insider : i believe it was around $75. Pretty sure i state the price in the video. Its worth it in my opinion. Pretty cool gift to bring home.

no - I think it came with the spear only if I remember correctly but I wanted the bow and arrows so I added on the pack - it was an additional $12-15 at the time

you can - however it does not scale properly. The Avatar is too big- but you could do this, it would not look bad it just does not scale right (its not made to).
