I'm worried that Jake will be killed by the fire Navi in the next movie. It would be horrible but poetic. On the other hand, we have Quaritch changing as a character. We could see him become an antihero. He could be the last hope for the Sully family against the fire Navi. It's all up in the air

I think both Avatar and Way of Water are great flicks, but I prefer the first film, particularly the Collector's Cut version. Way of Water was simply too rushed, even at three hours long, and it's a lot of setup for the sequel. I'm excited to see Avatar 3 though and I think Cameron did a great job justifying the existence of this franchise, though I always felt that there was room for a sequel because obviously the RDA would be coming back to Pandora, Jake and friends didn't defeat the military industrial complex on Earth, they simply gave a small contingent of humans the boot off of Pandora. With a movie like Die Hard there is a lot less justification, we don't end that film saying, "Oh, but what about Simon Gruber, whatcha gonna do about him?" No, for all we know John McClane lives the rest of his life without ever again dealing with such a big situation as what happened at Nakatomi Plaza. I say that With a Vengeance is the best damn action movie ever made even though Die Hard 1 wrapped up perfectly well without loose ends, but there's always been good justification for a sequel to Avatar. Now we're getting four sequels and I say bring it on.
