this has a lot of colonialists ideas behind the navi 😭 weird thing to complain about ? the humans while 2D, aren’t yhe focus of the films tbh- i kinda don’t think there needs to be a huge exploration behind their motives when its been said multiple times, in different ways, that “they killed their mother” as Jake put it. It’s something that helps the Navis storyline because they are the focus for now. But I also get what you mean too.

Looking back, Avatar is owned by Disney at the end of the day. The 1st one blew me away because I was 11. But now at 25 and with good knowledge of storytelling, perhaps I was craving for something more geared towards adults! More mature and gritty
