The Lyrics of the song are describing the dire situation in Iran under the Islamist regime. The sooner that they were helped to power by the US, UK, France and Germany in 1979, they went ahead with withdrawing all the freedoms that the Iranian women had earned in the previous 50 years, and by banning of happy music, dancing, and promoting the Shea festivals that are almost entirely concerned with death and misery, took the happiness out of the lives of Iranians ( Where Ebi sings " I have a dream of healing this recurring pain of a world that is drained of love " , he is actually referring to the misery that the Iranians are going through and have gone through in the last 41 years ). Some of the translation for the lyrics are accurate in a literal sense, and I am sure you can deduct what message those two singers who now live in exile, are trying to convey. PS: the song's title ' Royaye Ma ' means ' Our dream ' and not ' I have a dream ', in which case it would have read ' Roya-ei Da-ram '.
