I don't doubt it. When I was in 6th grade my friend went to a 76ers game and met one of the players, Grant Hill. She would go hang out with him and others at hotels. She would bring her one friend but I was never invited, and I never understand why cuz I was closer to my friend than the other girl, but it was like they had this secret that on one hand they bragged about, but at the same time wouldn't go into details. Of course, now in my 40s I get it. They were faster than I was in that way. At the time though, to me, hanging out meant hanging out, and I was hurt. If she would've invited me I definitely would've gone. So I don't know if she was protecting me or just really didn't want me messin up her thing.
