For the past like 18 years my mom has made Advent calenders for me and my two siblings. 24 little presents for each of us. Usually candy and then something a bit bigger on Sundays. But this year she has a lot of stress at work and is close to a burnout and won't be able to do it and she was really sad because she also really enjoys making them so I had the idea that we could make one for her. It's already halfway done, me and my brother are gonna buy the last pieces on Saturday and then I'll wrap everything and bring it to her on Sunday❤ (I'm from Germany btw)

In Canada, the only Advent Calendars that we have contains chocolate behind each doors. But some of us likes to do Homemade Advent Calendars so that we can put anything we want. Last year, I made myself a tea Advent Calendar 😊

i'm from germany and we also celebrate on the evening of the 24th😊 we have the advent candles too! we call them Adventskranz (advent wreath), but it also has 4 candles :D i have had just a chocolate advent calender for the last years, but as a child my mom also made me a selfmade (candy) one and sometimes i had a special one too (like barbie or something) ^^

On the outside the build remind me a lot of some of the builds from Den gamle by i Århus. But with a modern twist on the inside. 😊 I have a traditional advent calendar with pictures of elfs, trees, snow etc. For my lille boy. My mom and sister make 24 advent gifts for him and he get one "from Santa" every day 24 days. Just small gifts like raisins, a ball etc. This year i bought a special brew coffee for me and my husband.
