who thinks this is sped up? I am and audio engineer this kid sped up nothing except some parts where he just played it too fast. Its not perfect and thats proof enough he can really play. Its not hard to fake music anymore sadly
@illitero9 жыл бұрын
During the section that I like to call "note hell" (7:03-7:28), he's moving so fast that it looks like it's sped up, but if you watch his hair it moves the same way throughout the video. Besides, if it was sped up, then his playing would at least have been a hell of a lot cleaner through that part. I'm some random dude, and I verify this as *NOT SPED UP* Not to start shit, but the uploader played those solos a lot cleaner than Gates ever did live when this album came out haha
@RyanDowney2759 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much man. It's a complete insult to guitarists like us to say that his videos are "sped up"
@illitero9 жыл бұрын
Ryan Downey Absolutely no problem, dude. I don't listen to a7x much at all anymore, but I still have respect for what they've done and the skill they do have. Even if it seems that Gates bit off more than he could chew with solos for that album. Between concert videos and the Diamonds in The Rough DVD, he definitely struggled to play those solos consistently. But that album blew them up significantly, so I can understand and appreciate where he was at. I'm 29 and don't have the discipline to even try to play these things, so kudos to you for sure. Never stop playing!

All you haters that say he sped it up, are just all jealous that he can play it and they can't, why do people have to be so insulting when he is just showing what he can play, just ask yourself this why would he put all the time and effort into learning them just to go and cheat??? Plus he wouldn't put his neck on the line with lessons if he couldn't play as he is showing here. Rant over, keep doing these videos man you are f**cking awesome!!!!
