Took my best friend to his first metal concert which happened to have a7x at an open venue. It was my first time seeing them too. It was at an open pavilion and we had lawn tickets. It started raining HEAVY. And instead of calling the show off, like they were going to do, M. Shadows grabbed the mic and said he hasn’t seen ONE person from the lawn leave, so they were gonna finish their set. We went fucking nuts. They played their heaviest songs including this one and we all moshed in the mud and rain. Everybody in the crowd was one that night. It was beautiful.

Second Heartbeat is my favourite song off this album if not my favourite song ever by Avenged Sevenfold. Synyster Gates is a genius guitarist and Avenged Sevenfold’s music has been a part of my life for 17 years and they’ve never disappointed me in all that time.

Dont listen to ANYTHING bad about the first album. Its a lot more raw than this one but it is brutal but still melodic and beautiful. The screaming is def a lot harder but that first album is my favorite without a doubt. It has a little bit of everything on it. Check it out.

I couldn't agree with you more that Rev and Syn really stand out. I love the whole band but the drums and guitar are AMAZING. Also, the first album isn't great BUT FYI Syn, the lead guitarist, wasn't in the band then, as soon as he joined, fire ever since! Also from this album please listen to I Won't See You Tonight - you'll see they did solos back then! It Second Heartbeat also has an amazing ending

I remember hearing this song on hopeless records from different bands. This was my first avenged sevenfold song I heard chapter four. And it has always been my favorite. Being a Christian, it's cool they used a story from the Holy Bible. I know they are far from christians.
