Just because you haven't met the guy personally doesn't mean that you can't be sad when he passed away. The Rev was a staple to that band, songwriting and personality wise. I grew up with this band for the last ten years. For most Avenged fans, losing him was like losing a friend. You grow with the musicians you love. To see their stories as artists end is something that affects everybody around them. Friends. Family. Fans. It's a sad loss.

@Tom Whaley you're right i've only been an a7x fan since 2011 (i was 13 now i'm 16) but i watched many videos of the guys including the Rev and I felt a special connection with all of them for some reason. They really know how to lift people's spirits and are very funny! :) especially The Rev. I relate a lot to his randomness and it kinda hit me how important he was to the guys after watching their adventures, and I envy their amazing friendship which is what I wish to find someday! (I think everyone feels this way once they enter the a7x family!)

This is an amazing song and an amazing performance. I've been an A7X fan for 10 years, so I am saddened that the Rev is no longer with us, but I still can't hide my feelings that this song was a suicide note. If you put it together with the beginning of Victim, it makes sense. :(

I can see why most people would think it was a suicide. However, the album was at first a concept album which they were writing the lyrics for, but most of them were redone after the Rev passed. I think his heart just stopped working while he was asleep, as he had a condition called cardiomegaly (enlarged heart). He predicted at age 15 he wouldn't live past 30 years old, so he probably knew already, who knows. I won't believe that such a happy, loved and passionate person could ever throw away their dream and life, 90% of suicides involve heavy mental illnesses anyway. In my opinion nature just decided to take him away early. Way too early. =/ foREVer

Sorry for the two year gap where you probably already have your answer but I don’t think Johnny or Zacky perform any ‘Fiction’ live because the song has no need for a second guitar or bass.
