I'm in the same boat (like waking the fallen and city of evil best) but A7x wants to change sound from album to album to keep it fresh despite what the fans want that's why their fan base is so messed up, they wanted to tone stuff down for this album and leave the fancy stuff out and just keep it simple, but i've heard some of the other songs on the new album and they have the Avenged twist to them, it's not all super slow like this one.
