Mostly. But it's *very* noticeable that he's absolutely incapable of hitting certain notes anymore. Listen closer to when he's sustaining any word/the last word in a line. He's trying to pitch-up slightly on them as always, but it's like he hits a ceiling and his voice suddenly becomes super hoarse.

He is using a harmonizer for the chorus lead, since Zacky is playing rhythm there. My guess is he forgot to turn it off for the verse, that's why it sounds weird.

its coz theyve swapped to using automated tuning for the guitars to do the effects and stuff, sounds a bit off coz its their first show with it, it will take time to iron out the kinks of it

Hell yeah, I might only use an iPhone to record, but I try to record a video that someone would actually wanna watch… hence is why I shoot in landscape and I actually use the zoom every once in a while. I don’t just stick my phone in the air and hope I get something like others do 🤣🤣🤣🤣

So this is at AREA 15 in Vegas, theyre a lights,music, visuals, sounds experience kinda place. They were having an A7X listening experience for the new album. Sights and sounds going along to the album. So when the guys decided to have a concert, AREA15 already had the effects to apply to the monitors

this is actually a lot better than when he initially played the song live shortly after the HTTK album was released(you can hear the live at KROQ 2013) & onwards till late. from late 2013 to their last show before this, he was pretty much 'screaming' the chorus "HAAAAIL to the king" "STAAAAND in the sun"

Apparently he was having issues with his in ears or rather the mix and couldn't hear himself that well. Saw another video of them at Rockville from last night or smth like that and damn, he went really high with some parts. Sounded like Eric Adams from Manowar on that recording.

No matter how many times ive tried to get into them, I can not stand this gimmick band.. but I really like "synester gates" as a guitarist. He's actually good theory wise and elevates this otherwise corny ass band.

@FrawgDawg dude ax7 tattoos and emo outfits is their costume, what you mean lol. Their gimmick of dressing like they are from hot topic and everyday is Halloween.. gay ass emo hair and eyeliner gimmick even though theyre rich boys from so-cal? Zacky Vengeance? They've actually toned it down a little bit compared to the early-mid 00's when they were ridiculous with that stuff. Felt like back then they were worried more about their image and their singer is annoying d-bag who cant sing. I used to have the same debates with my best friend who passed away he was a die hard a7x fan. If you're a fan i'm sure you will be hurt about it but not everybody likes this band or the same bands. Slipknot on the other hand are awesome. Their musicianship is next level. Nothing wrong with their gimmick at all, in my opinion. Hell, their best era and gimmick was subliminal verses. Since 1999, I will defend them always lol. Avenged, musicianship ain't on Slipknot level and "a7x" songs are so corny. Hail to the king? Bat country? They are like this generations hair metal band to me. The only song I like is burn it down. As a musician, I do like Brian Haner as a guitarist.

@@eldiablo3794 I can't imagine you've delved very deep into a7x at all if your focal points here are the visual image of the band and a few of their radio hits. Just go pick a random album and pick a random song you've never heard, do that a few times. If the style of music isn't for you than that's one thing, but I can't imagine a Slipknot fan not finding any level of respect for a7x. Both immensely talented and creative bands. And as a musician, you should be inclined to give their less mainstream songs a listen. Brian is my favorite guitarist, if not to change your mind at least give yourself a chance to hear the rest of his work, it's always incredible.

I'd rather a singer focus on sounding good than running and jumping around like a monkey and make mistakes. Layne Staley was able to have a powerful stage presence by just standing still half the time and letting his voice speak for itself
