@@maxarey4658 you need to listen to the lyrics and not just hear them if you think Slipknot doesn't deserve a place on everyone's list. I get that everyone has their own tastes but their music isn't just filled with pointless screaming...a need to understand the group, their evolution, what each song is about and why they're so aggressive is a must have before disregarding them...Corey's vocal talent (screaming and singing) is incredible, there are very few that can even match him...I used to hate Slipknot then my brother introduced me properly to their music...

After The Rev died, Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater stepped in to help them out and recorded the drums on the album and went on tour with the band. After the tour, they hired a new drummer named Arin Ilejay and recorded the Hail to the King album. They soon realized that they weren't getting along with Arin, so they reached out to Brooks Wackerman from Bad Religion and asked him if he was interested in joining. Brooks said yes, and Arin was fired, and Brooks has been in the band ever since.

I am so sad that we could not be at Rocklahoma this year. My son is and will always be your biggest and most loyal fan. I think it was 2009 when my son and his bandmates drove to St Louis for PointFest just to see your band. The boys were heartbroken because your singer had damaged his vocal chords and could not perform. Steven was in a horrific motorcycle accident a few hours after his father's funeral. He was and is an amazing shredder. We were not sure if he would be able to hold a guitar again. He is amazing on guitar in his wheelchair right now.When his right leg gets amputated, please let me know how much it would cost to have your band come to Springfield Missouri and get him up on stage with you. I can fill a venue and will pay any other expenses. I tried to send him this weekend to see you. He was not up to dealing with that kind of crowd in his wheelchair. Please let me know how I might facilitate this. 😢

I agree. I think Nightmare is their best album by far imo
@genaroperez8325Ай бұрын
Also agree. It's where they have released their most amount of musical variability. It's like each song is a different genre form another, it gives each song a sort of identity inside the album and makes all of them unskippable. Even the removed song, Lost it all, follows this. None of their other albums has been able to replicate this magic. It's practically the perfect tribute for The Rev (even though he contributed in 90% of it😂). They couldn't have done it better
@davidpearceartprofile150Ай бұрын
This album out of all of them, in terms of sound, isn't my favourite, however I find that the concept, a soldier following orders without question and after many bad orders and just going through with them, being ignorant to the whole , it's just an order not my decision etc , finds himself shot in a battlefield and fading away, in the hospital, he's going in for surgery but dies in the hospital, it almost feels like he didn't even realise and things just merged into hell. I loved all of that .

Lyrics Nightmare! (Now your nightmare comes to life) Dragged you down below Down to the devil's show To be his guest forever (Peace of mind is less than never) Hate to twist your mind But God ain't on your side An old acquaintance severed (Burn the world your last endeavour) Flesh is burning, you can smell it in the air 'Cause men like you have such an easy soul to steal (steal) So stand in line while they ink numbers in your head You're now a slave until the end of time And nothing stops the madness turning Haunting, yearning, pull the trigger You should have known the price of evil And it hurts to know that you belong here, yeah Ooh, it's your fucking nightmare! (While your nightmare comes to life) Can't wake up in sweat 'Cause it ain't over yet Still dancing with your demons (Victim of your own creation) Beyond the will to fight Where all that's wrong is right Where hate don't need a reason (Loathing self-assassination) You've been lied to just to rape you of your site And now they have the nerve to tell you how to feel So sedated as they medicate your brain And while you slowly go insane they tell you Given with the best intentions Help you with your complications You should have known the price of evil And it hurts to know that you belong here, yeah No one to call Everybody to fear Your tragic fate is looking so clear, yeah Ooh, it's your fucking nightmare Ha, ha, ha, ha Fight (fight) Not to fail (fail) Not to fall (fall) Or you'll end up like the others Die (die) Die again (die) Drenched in sin (sin) With no respect for another Oh Down (down) Feel the fire (fire) Feel the hate (hate) Your pain is what we desire Lost (lost) Hit the wall (wall) Watch you crawl (crawl) Such a replaceable liar And I know you hear their voices (Calling from above) And I know they may seem real (These signals of love) But our life's made up from choices (Some without appeal) They took for granted your soul And it's ours now to steal (As your nightmare comes to life) You should have known the price of evil And it hurts to know that you belong here, yeah No one to call, everybody to fear Your tragic fate is looking so clear, yeah Ooh, it's your fucking nightmare!

I cannot thank Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies enough for letting me discover this song and A7X in general. Now my favorite song of all time.

What makes it great is that when you play black ops zombies or any other horror games like Dead Space, Resident Evil, or Left 4 Dead 1 and 2. This song fits perfect

@@spawnamaiali4147 the part were it shows the spider crawling on the drum set, i played a cheesy but awesome game called Earth Defense Force that involves killing giant Ants, Spiders, Wasp, Robots, and Monsters. I play this song and it fits so well because you know some or a lot of people that are afraid or hate bugs. There's a ton of earth defense force games. The best ones i played were EDF: Armageddon, EDF 2017, EDF 2025, and EDF: Iron Rain

Anyone notice how Zacky Vengeance was dancing with a woman in afterlife and now he's dancing with a skeleton in this song. I have no idea what that means but the idea is iconic.
@JZJ77772 жыл бұрын
I personally don’t think it means anything. There’s most likely no correlation other than the idea.

January 15th, 2021 was the day my father passed away. It was also the day I had this song on repeat. That day indeed felt like a Nightmare. This song will always resonate with me.
