I've wondered about it a few months ago, and I discovered something that could be what you're looking for : you just hit four single strokes on the tom (or snare), and then two single strokes with your pedal (a double pedal can be useful if you cannot reach a high speed with a single foot). And if you do it fast, you can obtain this sensation of "non-stop" fill. You just repeat it (RLRLKKRLRLKK and so on) and it's just epic !

Thanks man, but never doubt yourself, just keep practicing! Uhm, it varies how much I practice before doing a cover, it really depends on the song. But it doesn't take me more than a few days do almost memorize the whole drumtrack in a song. Oc course, it's not completely clean, I do minor mistakes here and there, but in this song I do a few improvised drumfills, mostly I come up with them spontaneously when I play

Any kind of ekit that you can afford. You can get cheaper drum sets from Roland than mine. Look up Roland HD-3 or Roland td-11k. I think those would be good starter kits. Good luck!
