I had a lot of fun playing Second heartbeat by Avenged sevenfold on the streets of Montreal, Canada. For a7x fans that are wondering, I had to edit certain parts and cut the original song to make it shorter. Thank you for understanding.
The video was shot around the University of Concordia and people's reaction was great!

It's so funny how most people disregard metal as a bunch of noise without melody, then when a metal song is transposed onto an instrument like the piano without them knowing, they really enjoy it. At its core, metal is just as complex and melodic as most of the great genres out there. People just need an example like this to showcase that.

No it's maximum shit, 0 inspiration, basic riffing, bad solos, totally useless album. Try to listen real bands :( don't know, for example the last oathbreaker record. Open your mind to metal, don't stay on the basics, or mainstream shitty stuff.

I'm actually more of a progressive metal fan, Opeth, Gojira, Mastodon, 3 of my favorites. Never heard of Oathbreaker but I'll definitely check them out. However I wouldn't say that The Stage is a basic metal album. Just because a band is very famous doesn't make them main stream either, because The Stage is not mainstream. Hail to the King was definitely a "mainstream" album that got a lot of radio hits and had simple riffs and drums but The Stage is far from that, in my opinion that is. The solos are incredible if you ask me, and definitely harder to play than most of their older songs. The drums are also good, as well as the vocal melodies they decided to use. Very weird but creative singing over the music. I also love the concept they went with. The Stage doesn't catch your ear as much as nightmare, self titled, or city of evil at first listen but after digesting the songs and listening back a few times I think Avenged Sevenfold really went outside of the box on this album. I'm not mad at you for disliking it, music is music. There is no right or wrong answer to whether this album is good or not. Thank you for voicing your opinion with me.
