This is from wiki, on The Rev: “[...]The eeriest thing about it is there is a song on the album called "Fiction" (a nickname The Rev gave himself) which started out with the title "Death." And it was the last song The Rev wrote for the album, and when he handed it in, he said, 'That's it, that's the last song for this record.' And then, three days later, he died.”

His autopsy states it was an accidental overdose. To say otherwise is speculation. You know and I know the probable real truth is he took his own life but decorum should prevent us from stating what we can't prove. It's like when a cop dies while "cleaning his gun". Everyone knows but most people aren't assholes who have to act like know it alls on the net.

As one of my all time favorite songs, this is a great reaction. The song sums it up perfectly with “I have so much to say, but you’re so far away.” Anyone who has ever lost someone feels that deep in their soul. Edit: the lead singer’s name is M. Shadows, he’s legit one of the best vocalists of our time. His screams are legendary, they blend perfectly with the lyrics. I feel his pain in every word of this song. 2nd edit: just wanna make sure I let you know that I added this video to my favorites. By far my favorite reaction to the song. Keep doin what you do bro.

That singer is so musically gifted that he (and the rest of the band to some degree) has to hold himself back as he will layer so many musical harmonies, parts and variations into a song it's ridiculous. This is no joke....he even said it himself....he has to hold back!!! And that's simply amazing.....and mind numbing at the same time. And his vocal ability is unreal. My fav singer currently.

Rev passed away after a long battle of mental health illness. He took his life young and left his brothers with a hole in their hearts ! So sad .
@budyjames775 жыл бұрын
I guess it depends on how you look at it. The Rev didn't commit suicide by hanging himself or shooting himself with a gun. He mixed drugs and alcohol and had an enlarged heart. From Wikipedia: "On December 28, 2009, The Rev was found unresponsive in his Huntington Beach home, and was later pronounced dead upon arrival to the hospital.[9]Police ruled out foul play and noted that his death appeared to be from natural causes. An autopsy performed on December 30, 2009, was inconclusive, but toxicology results revealed to the public in June that he died from an overdose of oxycodone (Percocet), oxymorphone (a metabolite of oxycodone), diazepam (Valium), nordiazepam (a metabolite of diazepam), and alcohol.[10] The coroner noted cardiomegaly as a "significant condition" that may have played a role in Sullivan's death."
@johnrhyne97295 жыл бұрын
His death was accidental. His mix of pills and alcohol had an effect on his body that hadn't been diagnosed before. The pills or alcohol alone weren't enough to kill, he just had a very unfortunate reaction to the combination. RIP Rev!!

One of the best songs they ever did. If not the best. The rawest emotion you could ever hear or see. Them driving through the town they grew up in reliving the memories they had with their friend. The emotion and pain you heard in the Matt's voice. Peter Frampton may have had his guitar gently weeping but Brian Haner had his wailing in pain on these solo's.
