I've been to hundreds of concerts, and even saw Avenged Sevenfold front row couple months after city of evil came out, and I don't think I've ever seen a crowd at any show ever disengaged with the song. I wish I would have been in California cuz it would have been an awesome birthday.

I’m just saying that I like the way his voice sounds now the best. He changed the way he does things since his vocal injury and I think it comes out better sounding. I think everyone should be entitled to their own opinion on what they like. I like his voice better now, you like nightmare era better and that’s okay! That’s what’s so great about music. Everyone hears and interprets things their own way.

Some of the best energy I’ve ever felt at a show and I’ve been to so many over the years. Been going to their shows since the early days. They’ve always given us so much fan service in LA but this just felt so next level considering how long it’s been. I will always prefer these smaller shows over stadiums every single time. Matt sounding great for this show, might be the best he’s sounded since like 2011, when I saw them in 2010 Matt was absurdly good and all these years later it’s still the best live vocal perfomance I’ve seen. Rewarding the fans that actually spend money to support their favorite band doesn’t seem wrong to me. Outside of this one specific concert, you don’t even need a deathbat for any of the rewards. And as far as location, I came from Iowa, there were people from New York, Ohio, and even people from Brazil and Europe. So maybe all you “diehards” just aren’t as diehard as you think you are.
