This video is a raw and emotional tribute to Avenged Sevenfold's late drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan and celebrates the long-time friendship the band members have shared since forming A7X in Huntington Beach, CA, in 1999. The video was directed by Wayne Isham, who has directed videos for such artists as Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Megadeth, and Def Leppard, among many others. My cousin committed suicide 4 years ago, at the age of 14, I used to listen to this song in her memory as I felt closer to her whenever this song was on. My father passed away 1 week ago and this song has always been a favorite of mine from Avenged Sevenfold because it really speaks to me but now that the one person I was the closest to is really gone, it hits me so much harder now. I’ve listened to this song for the past hour on repeat just breaking down crying in tears while my cat tries to comfort me, still crying while typing this comment. R.I.P. Carl Ray Lewis II aka Dad (January 24th, 1970-March 6th, 2023) you mean the world to me and I’m so sad and feel so depressed that I had to lose you so suddenly. We did so much together in our lives and we never got to watch the season finale of The Last of Us together but our final night together was wonderful but I never really got to say goodbye… I could have as I watched your body get carried out of our house on a stretcher by the funeral home folks but I didn’t have it in me to see you like that and the awful things I saw on that day will haunt me for the rest of my life… at least wherever you are now you’re no longer suffering and I hope that I get to see you again in another life and I’m truly sorry that I couldn’t do anything to save you…

I lost my dad in 2008..only difference, that haunted me is that I was arguing with him and mom about stupid car on the day he went to hospital, because me, young spoiled idiot wanted to go somewhere in the same time, and made a stupid scene about it, he actually didn't even responded, only mom was yelling at me, I wasn't aware how seriously he was ill, and that he'll never come home again.. he was a strong man, everything was so shocking, my whole world fell apart and change, and I never fully recover.. not to mention that we had a great life, financially free while he was alive, but after became poor to this day.. you at least had great last night with your old man, nice memories .. from time to time I love to listen song Black by Pearl Jam, very emotional and powerful song... I wish you and yours all the best

I'm sorry for your loss brother, I've been there and the pain never goes away but it does get easier over time. Man this song hits me very hard, I lost my mom in January of 2018 and that was the worst day/year of my life. Her name was Kim and she was my best friend, we survived a lot of hardship together and we had a special relationship. This song makes me cry every time because it reminds me of her, I miss her with all my heart. RIP Mom, I love you 🙏❤ And RIP to your father Carl 🙏❤
