The End Game was the last movie I got to see with my cousin who passed away in the middle of the pandemic. Three of us would go the Star Trek, Star Wars and Marvel movies together. In the theater, you heard very loud cheers when Captain pick up the hammer. You also heard the obvious tears at “I am Iron Man!” I remember signs, tears, and cheers with the life that Captain was finally able to live. This was a very enjoyable reaction by you as usual! Can’t wait for you to get to the last two Spider-Man movies.

If you're wondering how Dr Wendy Larson got her hand on the tesseract you have to remember how Howard Stark with his wife was killed in 1992 which means Obadiah with place in charge of Stark industries. Obadiah gave a lot of Stark assets to the government like the missile that killed Wanda's family. Also the S.H.I.L.D was more of a policing organization up until the event of the Captain marvel film where Nick fury change shield into a spy organization due to the fact now Fury had shape-shifting skrull agents working on his behalf.

Love your reactions to these! Not sure if you're going to watch all of these but I wanted to give you my opinions on these movies without spoilers in case you want to watch some but not all. Some of the movies and shows are not connected at all while some have shows you have to watch before hand. Also these are just my opinions and I'll try to state when my opinion is different from the public opinion, for example I am much lower on the Hawkeye show than most marvel fans. Phase 4 Wrap-up: 1. Spider-Man: Far From Home (end of phase 4, feels like a prologue to the endgame saga and a great ending. Also must watch before No Way Home). Great: 1. Spider-Man: No Way Home (Fantastic all around! I would put money this will be one of your top marvel films. I think there may be some minor Shang-Chi spoilers if you want to watch this first, but nothing detrimental) 2. Loki (Fantastic show overall, but season 2 is where it really catches it's stride. This is setting up future films, but there is an actor who will get replaced in future movies. The only thing that really relates is the Ant-Man Quantumania movie, and it came out between season 1 and 2. That said I don't think you need to watch it, and honestly the way the story plays out, I think it happens after season 2 of the show anyways, it's hard to fully tell though.) Good: 1. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 (Some people might put this in great, I think it's a really good movie though and highly recommend. Thor Love and Thunder takes place before this, as well as the Guardians Christmas special. You don't need to watch the christmas special but it does give some lead in for the story of this one.) 2. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (Fantastic movie, I don't think the story is as elite as the first black panther but I still enjoy it and I think the fighting/vfx are better. Opening of the movie is fantastic. Falcon and the Winter soldier does introduce a character in this, but you don't need to watch it to enjoy this.) 3. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (Amazing fighting, might be the best combat in any marvel movie. Definitely has a turn in the second half but still enjoyable. Think this one is definitely a watch) 4. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (Great show, really sets up the future of captain america well. Especially since you like cap I think you like this, maybe love.) 5. What If...? (Very fun show, some bad episodes but they are so short it's not too hard to get through them. I think you'll like this because it feels much more comic booky.) 6. WandaVision (Very unique show, starts off so weird but gets pretty good. Definitely some typical marvel stuff near the end, but has some great moments. Also you NEED to watch this before doctor strange anyways so you might as well.) 7. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (Very unique, horror light movie. I think I would've put this a tier down but I think you'll really like some of the moments and easter eggs. You MUST watch WandaVision before this though. Also it has the best neck crack in marvel by far so I know you'll love that 😂) Solid but some issues: 1. Moon Knight (I would actually put this higher on the list, but there are some weird parts sprinkled in. You might love this though, not sure how much it relates to the comics. This also doesn't really relate to any of the other marvel stuff so far) 2. Ms Marvel (Very fun show and gets a lot of unwarranted hate. It is very creative and feels like the perspective of a teenager. I think they nailed the tone of this, and unlike spider-man where it feels like a teenager in an adult story, this feels like a teenager in a teenage story. Don't know how to describe it but it was fun and a must watch before watching The Marvels) 3. Hawkeye (I would have this lower on the list but a lot of people like this, some even say it's their favorite show. It originally was supposed to be a movie on christmas, which is why it feels so slow at some points. Pretty fun show but I'm not a huge fan of the pacing or ending. You should watch Black Widow before this as well) Flawed: 1. Black Widow (I think you'll like parts of this because it's black widow, but some of the plot and action are heavily flawed. You should watch this before Hawkeye if you're going to watch that) 2. Thor: Love and Thunder (This could be way higher on your list, and since you love Thor might be a must watch. Since you'll probably want to watch Guardians 3 anyways I'd say watch this first atleast. I think it has some flaws but it does solidly wrap of Thor's story) 3. Echo (Nothing really stood out to me about this one. This one might also be tainted for me because I didn't enjoy Hawkeye. Must watch Hawkeye before this) 4. The Marvels (Had some really cool concepts but felt like they missed out on some opportunities to make it better. Definitely gets some unwarranted hate but even so it's still pretty mid. Need to watch Ms Marvel first) 5. Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania (Super weird, didn't really capture the magic of the first ant-mans. Could be important for future marvel movies but I think you could probably skip this and just watch Loki) 6. Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special (Not good, but had some fun moments. Kind of sets up Guardians 3. Pretty short but still don't need to watch this) 7. Eternals (Heavily flawed movie but it is beautifully shot. Thought this was going to lead to a lot of the marvel future characters, but so far none of the characters have showed up in any of the other movies or shows) 8. Secret Invasion (No clue what they were thinking with this one. So many issues with it, and not even sure where it takes place. It comes out before The Marvels but I don't think you need to see it before it. Honestly tried to forget most of what I saw in this show so I can enjoy these characters again)

They actually couldn't use Silver Surfer if they wanted to. Fox still had ownership over that character during this period in time. Not sure if you've ever read into that whole thing. It's quite interesting but also a complete mess. It's unfortunate, that Marvel had to sell off the rights of certain properties, to so many different studios before they made the decision to start their own studio and Universe. It's why Wanda and Petro weren't allowed to be referred to as Scarlet Witch or Quicksilver. Also the reason why The Incredible Hulk isn't given enough attention. And also the reason why Spider-Man took so long to get introduced into the Avengers. I know a lot of people don't like the corporate side of Disney and that's completely understandable. But Disney buying 20th Century Fox and the Netflix properties and also having the kind of "Screw you" type of money that pretty much forces Sony and Universal to cooperate with Spider-Man and The Incredible Hulk has allowed Disney to bring all the Marvel properties under one umbrella again.

While you would be watching it ahead of schedule, it wouldn’t matter because the story has not yet connected to any other Marvel storylines. It is one of the few that is completely safe and acceptable to watch out of order, and it is a pretty cool holiday special.

They even had the characters' signatures at the end of this movie and we weren't meant to think of it as the end of the mcu? Mind you, I would have kept watching the mcu movies from this point on if they seemed to be going a good direction, but they didn't. Captain Marvel was a definite turn directly in the wrong direction and all the movies besides the 2-part Avengers movies went straight down that hole. Terribly written movies with bad-ass female / minority characters, expecting us to like them else we're bigots, as if guilt trips could save them from failure.
@neospock503427 күн бұрын
There was nothing wrong with Captain Marvel. It wasn't great but wasn't awful either, just an average middle-of-the-pack MCU flick, a bit predicable but solid. And there was no guilt tripping involved, that's your own projection. Phases 4-5 were hit and miss, some good movies some bad ones. And movies/shows having female or minority leads doesn't make them inherently good or bad. They're just more MCU characters.
@looneysuniverse26 күн бұрын
I actually like the captain marvel movie over her comic interpretation as she is very unviable since civil war 2 for me. As far as the female minority aspect, haven’t seen any other stuff yet so I’m interested in seeing to make my own opinion.
