Also in Avengers 1 when Capt & Stark are arguing Cap says "youre not the type to give your life and lay on the wire so the next man can pass over you!" Stark replies "Your right! Id rather cut the wire". That is why strange couldnt tell him what would happen. He would have tried to find another way (especially now that he has a daughter) and they would have failed. By waiting until the very last moment, Tony had to act without over thinking it and he did.

Nebula knew that Thanos killed Gamora, but she didn't know that it was because it was necessary to get the soul stone. She probably figured that he killed her because she was getting in the way of his plans.

9.5 out of 10...imo better than Infinity war and I love infinity war! Some people May say the first half is boring but I consider it world building...we had to see the heroes live in a world where they lost. I always said this....if Tony dies I’m sobbing...next thing I know I’m sobbing. What made it worse is peter embodying his inner Simba trying to wake him up! What a run for all the OGs especially Robert...no one could of embodied Tony the way he did and we will forever be grateful!

KZbinr BayleeXiong and the movie paid good respect to that, he was the hero whose solo movie started the whole Avengers movie franchise, he was the hero who sacrificed himself to save everyone. And the end of the movie credits, the sound from him making his first suit in the cave was a very nice salute to his contribution and the beginning of this all. He was Avengers, so don’t know how the next phase will be.

It makes sense why Iron Man died because the avengers techinally started with him. He was the first avenger who founded the team. So it ended with him. It was also great writing to make black widow die. In the majority of movies, women die or sacrifice themselves for a lover or family, but she dies for duty and friendship. It was definitely unexpected. I thought hot guy was going to die but he has a family and they probably didn't want two avengers with familes to die when factoring in Iron Man. I think Black Widow will come back though I also loved that Captain America got to be with Peggy in another timeline, but I found it weird that nobody went with him to bring back the stones though. It was dangerous taking them. You would think it would be dangerous returning them, Idk....

Cap never abandoned Tony, what did Tony say he wanted to do? Tony said, he wanted to put a suit of armor around the world. He wanted to close our world off. What did Steve say in return? Steve said and how did that turn out? We know how it turned out, Tony suit of armor was the Ultron project and it was Tony creation of Ultron in secret that led to the downfall of the Avengers. It was Tony's actions that led to the Accords and the creation of Zemo . Yet Steve stuck with him through all of that. It was Tony who didn't stick with the Avengers when they needed him do against the Accords that further worsened things. Tony decides to side with the Government all because he feels bad in regards to mistakes he has made. Even after the events of Civil War Steve said if you ever need me just call and I'll be there. Tony never called though, he was the one that hesitated to make one phone call that would have united the Avengers and given them their greatest strategist to defeat Thanos. Steve didn't lie to Tony, if Tony would have made that call Steve would have been at this side. If Tony would have sided with the Avengers and not with the very same Government he used to rebel against, things might have been different. Tony is a hero no doubt about that but his fears and anxieties get the best of him at times. He can be his own worst enemy at times. Tony was the Villain in AOU in my opinion, he was the mad scientist and Banner his faithful assistant. Like Thanos Tony put his solution to saving life above life itself and all he got in return was death and destruction. Tony like Thanos needed to learn how to let go, how to let things take their natural course. This is why Thanos's solution and Tony solutions were made to mirror one another in Infinity War cause they were a reflection of one another. Thanos dusted Tony's friends along side the rest of the Universe and when Tony had the Stones in Endgame he Dusted Thanos and his Army. You can never become a hero by being the man in charge who sacrifices the lives of others but never your own. Thanos didn't understand this and neither did Tony to an extent . In Endgame Tony told Steve he'd help him reverse everything but he didn't want to lose what he had. He was still trying to cut the barbwire. Everything finally hit home for Tony when Strange put that finger up and Tony choose to let go of what he had to give the Universe a chance to have something as well. He became a true hero in my eyes in that moment. Cap's not perfect either cause he can't let go of Bucky and that has caused some problems as well. Like he told Nat, it's easy for them to tell other to move on but it's hard for the Avengers to move on. They have to Avenge.

Loved the movie!! Great review. You had me dying laughing between "raggedy nebula" and captain marvel's "Go get a manager haircut"🤣🤣🤣. I think Nebula didn't tell Natasha and Clint about the required sacrifice for the soul stone because she didn't want to affect their decision. It was almost neccessary for theatrical suspense and had much more of an impact because we knew what was about to happen but they didn't. She observed overtime and probably learned of their history as agents of shield that they had a true bond and cared deeply for each other ensuring one of them would carry it out. Plus if anyone else on the team knew beforehand (especially Cap), they might've done it instead or tried some other way.

I saw this and some stranger 1.Came in late, 2. asked "What did I miss?", 2. kept looking at her cell phone , and 3. asked "When does WONDER WOMAN come back?"....and I STILL enjoyed this movie! I did NOT see Black Widow's death...until I wondered why Nebula didn't mention that someone would have to be sacrifices for the soul stone AND why she didn't mention that Thanos can see her thoughts. On a positive note, Everyone loved the scene when Captain America got Thor's hammer! They really gave Hawkeye a great storyline and Rocket Raccoon was great too!

Long comment**** Hands down, this is indeed the best fan service of a movie at it’s best!!! We are so lucky in this day and age to be fortunate enough to have spent the last 11 years following the MCU & these beloved comic book characters . I am 45 years old and in the 80s to 90s I grew up going to comic book stores & watching Lou Ferrigno/Bill Bigsby Hulk, Spider-Man, Nicholas Hammond & Linda Carter, Wonder Woman & Adam West & Burt Ward Batman on TV. If you’d told me back then that a kid my age by the name of Kevin Feige, who enjoys the same thing, & dreaming possibly one day, that he’ll be starting his own comic book enterprise such as the MCU, I would’ve ridiculed and laughed so hard. Just got out of a 10:30 AM showing today, Sunday .... and BOY!!!!! WOW!!!! I get a lot of people are saying "fan service," and all, but I wouldn't call it that. Yes, I felt rewarded for following all 21 movies before it. That said, this movie felt soooo Organic in the way they "fan serviced" us. And that 3rd act???? Damn. Must be the greatest -- near impossible to pull off, 3rd act in the history of cinema. It was my "damn WTF" moment. No hyperbole there.

The reason black widow sacrificed herself is she knew Hawkeye had a family and she didnt. Her only family was the avengers. Why bring gender politics into it? Also Hopefully they bring some of these female characters in the future to make up A force. Captain marvel Scarlett witch, wasp, and many more are already in this group in the comics.... also the reason that some characters didn't get more screen time is this movie is about the original 6 and an end of their era. Wakanda peeps will come back with Black panther 2, and other character will come back in other movies as well. This was a send off to the original 6.

Great analysis and breakdown. However I think you're off on one point. Nebula doesn't know the specifics of what happened to Gamora. All she thinks is Thanos killed her.
