Framestore

5 жыл бұрын

Framestore completed over 250 shots for the opening act of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War. From the moment Bruce Banner crashes into Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum to the epic 'Race to Space' sequence, our varied and action-packed work saw us build the New York environment in CG, craft the Q-ship, and create CG friends old and new: Iron Man, Spider-Man, Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian. Find out more about our work: www.framestore.com/avengersin...

@Akmal Ahmad Yes, that is why it all looks so fake and bad. Every dialog scene outside is in studio CGI background with fake lighting and you can see the CGI visual elements not even well blended together. What do you expect from a film with VFX effects hastily done in a few months.

@@smally7505 Social Network or Gravity. Problem with these Avengers movies is, that it uses CGI even where it doesnt need to. And the lighting is very bad. Most of the time you clearly see that actors just stand in a studio with green screen behind them and it is very off putting and immersion breaking.

NecumNaTo I agree that the marvel movies over use cgi when it isn’t necessary, but are you really going to compare how scarily realistic josh brollan looks as thanos to fucking social network??? At least grab a movie with a plot not written by a four year old.

Light is why we can see things at all-makes sense that lighting affects the realism of a scene! A potentially great and fun example: super old video games, re-rendered using modern Raytracing-those blocky polygons and old textures suddenly look more life-like and realistic!

disney is very rich and hollywood don't likes them. They created the best animation to stop having to give their cartoons the best picture. Disney would win almost every year lots of categories if allowed. That is part of reason why hollywood is not based in the tecnical aspects so much, popular movies is not very well seen, is something political and based on what actors and directors enjoy

@michaelm4550 5 жыл бұрын
@@koolbeans9139 so depends on what you do. It would be easier for me to tell you the software companies rather than the particular products since they change quite often. Autodesk is a big one. Allegorithmic is rising quite steady along with Quixel. SideFX with houdini is used for most VFX. Obviously Adobe products for most 2D needs. There are tons of lesser used ones such as Cinema4D or MODO. As for Rendering and their Engines almost every studio has their own because that is what gives it the "Marvel" look. Shader artists are almost exclusively using HLSL if you're interested in that. There are so many to go into, i apologize that i couldn't get into more detail

When there is good CGI, there will still be criticism and complaints from the audience. When there is incredible CGI, no one would even notice it because it would be indistinguishable from reality. Unless those incredible scenes that are actually made up from CGI is revealed later on.

The scenes for black panther where sent of to the VFX artists late, so they didn't have enough time to render it. MCAN - Piano Henry Cavill was filming MI Fallout and director Christopher McQuarrie insisted that he can't shave the mustache his character sports in the movie. So for Justice League, while all the fuss was happening with Whedon entering and them doing reshoots, instead of giving Henry/Superman a beard, they removed his upper lip somehow while trying to remove the mustache, it was a bit disturbing in the movie. Of course, everyone noticed it and everyone laughed at them.
