if its well designed not that much 40kgs - and its practically just as fast as the hard top would notice the difference unless your a A grade race car driver on the track. the little bit extra weight is well worth the practicality and simplicity of an auto roof. not to mention all the boot space is taken up by the roof.

I absolutely love the new Aventador, its more stealth like with lines that look like they are off of a stealth fighter and that is what makes it much more unique. More POV shots of this car and other cars would be pretty cool.

Love the Car. I got to drive a 5000S Countach. It was tripple white. White interior, white car with white wheels.. my favorite... I felt like I was in a Miami Vice episode. Great looking car, white is such a clean color.

99% of people driving these cars don't give a shit about the added weight of an automatic roof cause they arent limited in ANY way cause of the added weight. You all act like everyone is a profesional race driver. ROFL!!!!!! Literaly everyone commenting here doesn't even know how to handle a car 1/3th of the power this one has cause for that morons, you actually gotta get teached by someone who is a race driver. That is if you don't wanne crash it the first month you get it. When buying such cars there should come a monthly race driver guide of daily drivings on a race track with an instructor of how to actually drive these. That way you maybe spot a lambo with a driver that doesn't just drive it to look good but actually also knows how to drive it. It looks stupid having to to all that to open or close your roof, that's for sure. lol

Quincy Jones the 458 & McLaren are V8's and have enough room to store a roof the V12 takes up a lot of room. this was the best method of having a removable roof system.

that's fair to point out, however I still feel that a company such as Lamborghini would still be able to improvise and spend a little bit more money and time making it more efficient. The objective in the car is speed, but there should be a way to make this process efficient.

You say that as if they are all the same size car & they are trying to cram the V8 & V12's into the same chassis. Like we have medium shirts & we are trying to fit it on a 6 year olds & a fat adults. My point is they are different size cars with the aventador being significantly larger & the idea they can't do it is silly. We have space stations, surely man can engineer an auto top for the aventador. It's not a matter of ingenuity yet a matter of lazy, fuck it attitude & profit. I love the aventador & would still die to have the roadster even if I gotta tell my hot date to get out of the car so that I can pull the seat up to pull a latch & take my top off to place it in the boot. I will do it & do it happily but it's still stupid especially on car this expensive.

Two things. The Bugatti also requires Manuel placement, for its roof removal, and its worse BC you need two people. Second, Adding a motor for the roof to automatically move requires even more weight, and a really heavy car isn't what you want.

Its a car made for performence. To add an electronic driven roof would mean lots and lots of additional parts, which means more weight, which means less performance. For those that are speed enthusiasts they prefer coupe cause they are able to get the best performance. On a side note i think it would be funny to see a billionaire on the side of the road attaching his roof in a rain storm lol.

You're joking right? These cars are about driving experience. They have the flappy pedals, an invention MUCH newer and more high tech than the automatic transmission, so that the driver may have more control over the driving experience of the car and because flappy pedals are a faster gear change than traditional manual.
