Is it possible to get fragrance fatigue? I don’t mean becoming unable to smell a particular fragrance, I mean getting bored with the whole thing, I mean I like a fragrance, I buy it, next thing I know I’m fed up with it to the point it makes me sick. Aventus is actually an exception in this, after all this time I still dig it but I don’t wear it every day, who knows what would happen if I did.

I try to avoid getting caught up in the whole Aventus clone war ordeal. But some of these are pretty good. I've been tempted to get a bottle of Cedrat Boise, since it's a reasonably priced alternative with good lasting power and gets good feedback. I'd kinda argue that Bond no 9 Riverside Drive is a greener take on Aventus, with the basil taking the place of the birch tar.

Just got a decant of *Club De Nuit Intense Man* and *Insurrection Pure 2.* Blown away by CDNIM. Smells 95% identical to smokey batches of Aventus (on the dry down). Definitely getting a bottle. Not sure why anyone compares IP2 to Aventus.

I had a bottle of ip2 2 years ago it was just like the aventus dry down on first spray. It didn't last long maybe 4 hours but it smelled great and got me compliments. I bottle another bottle recently and it's not the same at all it's like they tried to make it smokier and it really isn't the same anymore

The opening on Club De Nuit is simply horrible. The dry down is Aventus. Pineapple Vintage Intense is the closest.

Club de Nuit Intense for Men by Armaf is decent (more on the fruity side) and Pineapple Vintage Noir Intense is a smokey version of Aventus. I usually layer them 1 Club de Nuit Intense with 2 Pineapple Vintage Noir Intense. Lasts for around 6 hours on my skin.

CDNIM could have different batches that smell different just as Aventus... of course everyone smells stuff differently so that just could be the way it comes off your skin or your particular nose. Either way it is a good scent and alternative to Aventus (but not the KING!).

I completely agree about the packaging/presentation on Creed. I just checked on neiman marcus' site and a 100mL sells for $425. Yes, I understand you can get it for cheaper at discount sites, but my point is.......as far as Creed's concerned, their suggested retail price is $425. For that amount of money, the cap should be a nice chrome, or barring that, at least a nice, snap fit on the cap where you can't wiggle it around and hear plastic knocking back and forth.

I recently took the plunge and purchased a 100ml bottle of Creed Aventus, I also purchased sometime ago the Armaf Club De Nuit Intense for men because I heard it was very much like the same smell and comparing the two have to say it’s true, knowing how good the Armaf smelled I had to have the Creed Aventus but a day later I returned it, like Jeremy I sprayed it in the same way as he does in this video and to cut a long story short within 1 hour and I kid you not I could hardly smell it, whether this came from a bad batch I don’t know, due to the price I was expecting more than the weak smelling fragrance than I got from it, in no way am I trying to promote the Armaf but have to say I’ll be sticking to the Armaf which is far cheaper and by far in my case longer lasting.

I enjoyed this video, especially the 2nd part about the frags with similar vibes to Aventus. I also own Nio, Bleecker Street, SOPFH and Cedrat Boise along with Aventus and agree that they all have that same fresh, masculine vibe but all differ. I wasn't keen on Straight To Heaven from my sample but maybe i will revisit that one again in the future.

Thanks! Yeah, Straight To Heaven is a bit of a curve ball, but I think it's in the same "family". Just with a boozy quality that Aventus doesn't have. It's definitely worth trying again! It's not my favorite scent, but I think it's very good.

It's funny, my bottle of Aventus has a bubble under part of the label too and out of the box part of the black on an E was rubbed off. You're right, I did expect more for the price I paid. The only other Creed I own is GIT, which is my favorite and because it has no sticker it looks better. Both caps are like that though. :)

I was just at Macy's and was so excited to try the original Creed Aventis which I really liked but the sales woman went, just go guy some lemons and squirt them on yourself. I laughed my ass off. For the fullest biggest bottle they had was about 120. I am going to hold off for now but we'll see. I did not get to see how it drys down but might ask for it for my birthday from my wife. I love Bleu de Chanel which has a citris top note too and I thought Aventis was similar in its opening.

I used to be a Creed fan but as I kept discovering niche perfumerie and my taste got more nuanced, no Creed fragrance really does it for me anymore and I don’t really care for citrusy smells anymore. So much more interesting and better performing stuff out there. Gotta hand it to Creed, tho, how they managed to build a cult following without investing anything really, a few samples to youtube reviewers maybe. Strangely enough, when it was launched, Aventus wasn’t even popular.

Do you use deodorant? I use soap with pine oil, cedar oil, coconut oil and olive oil. It does smell nice and strong but does not leave much on the skin. And I use a deodorant balm that is scented with geranium and vetiver or one with cedar and bergamot. I use them sparingly and I feel like their scent does not project much, though it is hard to tell with something you apply every day.

Great video thank you. I liked the fact that you were not afraid to demystify aventus. There are many colognes out there costing way way less that when it comes to presentation they put to shame this cologne. Random Example: Cristiano Ronaldo legacy, a very inexpensive cologne great smell by the way and guess what it has a metal cap. Shame on you creed!
