What a fabulous recording this is ❤ I’m a huge fan and have followed their music over the years, saw them in concert in the early days and then when Hamish moved on. The blend of their voices with Alan is exceptional ❤ Their music is timeless and sounds as brilliant as it ever was! I feel so proud of this Scottish band that conquered the states ❤

One of my favourite ever bands ever! Listening to this, I can’t believe it was recorded 50 years ago! This could be contemporary music. They were truly an amazing band with an equally amazing line up. Musically incredible, vocally so succinct and tight. And they only got better. So sad that Robbie in drums died when he did. What a waste of talent. Still listen to this and enjoy. They certainly weren’t average!

What a groove! Robbie was a beast on drums. Robbie and Alan lock in as good as the JB's or Rocco and Garibaldi from TOP. Guitar is fabulous, tasty and what a great solo on the band member intros towards the end. Such a raw, great sound that you don't hear anymore. Love this recording - thanks for sharing!

A favorite of mine. Robbie's work with Brian Auger was excellent also...he had a style for jazz fusion and funk etc.

I love Roger's clavinet 🎹 in the right ear and Onnie's guitar 🎸 in the left ear. Some material that I've never heard before. Seriously cool upload 😎👍 +1. The era when you had to have long hair in Scottish cities to survive an evening out. 😂🎉

Funk from across the pond had a different feel than the US stuff. Of course, AWB was a cut above the rest and had first-class material.

Wow. Thanks for posting. I have been a AWB fan since the mid 70s but was unaware of this recording which is a rare classic especially as it features Robbie

According to Alan Gorrie, drummer Robbie McIntosh was the person who the whole band would look to for keeping the funk, as he would cast a disapproving eye if the music wasn't tight... RIP, Robbie and Malcom ("Molly").

Very unfortunate that he was taken so early he is a funk/groove master !
