This time I made my brother watch BTS Dance Practices and I managed to finally get a few smiles out of him! My brother is also a very talented dancer so I wanted to see what he thought of BTS dancing.

Hey everyone! I’m seeing the comments about not being able to hear either myself or Jack properly. First things first, I’m sorry about that, it had been a while since I had filmed a video like this. Second, I did find that while I was editing, wearing headphones helped a lot. And last, I apologise if I say anything wrong or anything that offends anyone. When filming this I had only been watching BTS for about a month and didn’t know nearly as much as I do now. I am more than happy for people to give me any info they deem necessary provided you are being respectful about it. 💜

11:40 they don’t wear masks because they are sick. Well they were it to prevent sickness, but also wear them for air pollution, fashion, and in public to cover their identity. But Suga in a VLive said he wears it like that on his face when he doesn’t feel like shaving.

A lot of people are mad that I don't know as much as I should about BTS, but the thing is, I am open to learning. I'm more than happy for other ARMY to help me out. I would love it actually!

i would have chosen a different set of dance practices to introduce someone to BTS (danger, blood sweat n tears, fire, mic drop) but this is just my opinion :)

I did want to show him more dance practices but unfortunately he doesn't live in the same city as me. Now that I think about it, Fire definitely would have been an awesome one to show him! One thing I want to say here is they are not dance group, they are singers. So there is difference here like as for professional dance group they more concentrate on formation , synchronization and all but as for bts or all kpop dance practice video the way they practice is like performing in front of audience. So small gestures like brushing hair , winking or small hand gesture movements they will practice ( eventually become their habit) But as for a dancing group small gestures they won't do like as I said. Bts want to give cool, sexy, cute or charismatic performance for the fans. So those hand gestures and facial expressions give them those type of performance. If u watch their live performance u will understand. What I want to say is u can't compare them with professional dance group. Becoz the way they practice is different. U said while watching dna like he is brushing his hair, so that is y i explained this. I'm also a professional dancer but idk u got the point that I'm trying to explain here. Any way pls react to more bts plsssss.

I think something he should know is that for a dance to be considered good, it doesn't need to have the most difficult dance move. I think a cool dance choreo is something that's satisfying to watch. Creative, flows well with the song. And executed well. It doesn't need to be difficult to be good.

R B I agree with the dance not needing to be difficult to be good 100%! I think for me personally it’s the fact that there is 7 of them dancing in near perfect sync and everything just looks so appealing to the eyes. I definitely need to show him other dance practices (if he ever comes back to visit haha). I did get him to watch No More Dream a day or so before we filmed this and he was actually impressed with that haha 💜

ARMY stands for Adorable Representative MC for Youth, and is also because the Korean full name of BTS means bulletproof boy scouts, so in the Ellen interivew, RM explained that you need an ARMY to go along with / wear bulletproof vests (the original logo for BTS) or something like that XD

We are ARMY because Bangtan Boys means BULLETPROOF boys. ARMY wears bulletproof gear to protect themselves. BTS protects us. Hence the messages in their songs. And because we are an army who fights and protects our boys. Also your brother should try one of their dances since he made it seem like everything was so easy.

I did tell him he should try doing one of them! He is a very talented dancer and would probably pick up their choreo very quickly. I personally think BTS' dances look really good because they're dancing as a group. I enjoy their solo stuff too!

BTS is acting as (Bulletproof) protective armor against the many issues raining like bullets down on youth. A.R.M.Y. stands for Adorable Representative MC for Youth. Like soldiers wouldn't be without their protective gear in battle, and the gear is useless without someone to protect, so are BTS & ARMY inseparably tied. ARMY protects BTS who have sacrificed so much of themselves for their fans.

Baepsae (뱁새) means "crowtit," which also symbolizes someone that tries too hard to reach a goal or something- which is why RM does a little bit of the bird flapping.

Also for “Boy With Luv”.... They met & befriended Halsey at 2017 BBMAs stated by RM during an interview and finally was able to collab with her for their comeback “Boy With Luv” which is connected to their 2014 “Boy in Luv” storyline. Halsey’s bias is RM and they even do their cute handshake while sitting on the couch in the MV. She’s the first international female artist to literally be singing and dancing in person along with BTS for the first time in MV and on stage at 2019 BBMAs. BTS were on SNL for their comeback debut for the first time. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can check Saturday Night Live youtube channel for both live performances of “Boy With Luv” (without Halsey) and “Mic Drop”, also their Dionysus live performance on korean music shows. *Halsey has more lines in their album version of “Boy With Luv”

I think it’s kinda funny because he seems like he is trying so hard to be indifferent but at times you can see (in both videos) a little bit of surprise or something like enjoyment in his face. I think he would really enjoy the dance practices for Danger Fire Dionysus (stage rehearsal for the concert performance) Mic Drop (this was the practice for the performance at the award show & has all the dance breaks in it) Also since you are new if you have twitter I’m @hobi_forehead & you can dm me anytime if you have any questions about anything or just to chat or whatever. The word Baepsae is a bird called a crow tit. Also it means try hard.

Here’s short summary of what Baepsae means.... Baepsae[SilverSpoon] means Crow Tit (An old korean saying elderly uses translating “If a crow tit tried walking, like a stork it will break it’s legs”). Basically a way of oppressing the young generation by calling them crow tits and the elderly storks, the young people shouldn’t overestimate themselves. It’s what the asian elderly use to hold younger generation from following their big dreams and making them have “normal” jobs. BTS often called themselves Crow Tits because even with their success they don’t see themselves as storks and they want us younger people to know that we’re not alone b/c they to were told not to follow their dreams! FUN FACT: They werent “too serious” during their baepsae dance practice, they were actually having abit of fun but still killed the dance!

I thought I should explain what was going on in the gogo dance practice,, first you mentioned how V looked upset that was because he’d recently received news that a friend from back home took his own life, as to what they were saying they were basically trying to see who’d play Snow White ( the idea was Jungkook’s) basically when it got down to V and Jin Rm said that he’d dreamed about it before and that he thought V would lose, J-Hope stayed how either way one of BangTan’s visuals would play Snow White. I think they also decided to go with the idea to kind of try to take V’s mind off of everything for a while, but yeah that’s why he seemed upset.

Yes for “Boy With Luv”....they did film this while they were in the states (I think they were still in New York) when they did this! I personally prefer the original because it’s better, i can’t stand fanmade versions of Baepsae where they have to make the darn smallest details stuck out....which isn’t funny to me at all!

You should show him the Baepsae Explained by DKDKTV.....It explains the song and gives context to why there's all the bird-like movements... But to quickly explain, Baepsae, or crow tits, as short-legged birds... also a line mentions storks which are birds with long legs. They're making reference to those two birds. There's also a Korean idiom about crow tits trying to catch up to the storks...which I can't fully recall atm (it is 1am and i'mma 'bout to head to bed) - DKDK explains that though....

As others have said, I couldn't hear most of what your brother was saying so I didn't bother watching the whole thing. Maybe if you do this again have him sit closer to the mic, like switch places or something. And just for your own BTS knowledge, Jimin has been doing the off the shoulder thing since debut because of his narrow shoulders. It kept happening so he adopted it as his signature move.

The reason why it is an assumption is because we don’t know for sure exactly when the dance practice was filmed. It is possible & many believe that what you say is true but it is also possible that the practice was filmed before that actually happened in which case he could have just been having a day where he wasn’t as cheery as he often is we all have bad days every now & then. (No disrespect intended to anyone)

I think you need to remember that when an AMRY is going to show a non-ARMY BTS stuff, most of them aren`t going to be that interested. So the fun dance practices that most ARMY`s love are going to be boring and uninteresting to most other people. Boy With Luv, Baepsae, and GoGo are all fun easygoing dance practices, so it isn`t good videos to start with to catch someone's attention. It may work on some, but your brother seems to be the type to take things or at least dancing very serious(in this video) so he seemed very uninterested or bored while watching since most of those dances were easygoing. And while BTS are great dancers, you need to remember that they are a singing group. Their dance will not be performed the way a professional dancer will do it because they are not a dance group. They are singers that add a lot to their performances. Thir dance is to emphasize the lyrics in their song, to appeal more to the audience in many different ways. They are trained to do small habits in their dance that a professional dancer would not do. You can`t look at them as if they were professional dancers, tha would be very underwhelming and false. But if you look at them as professional singers, then it`s a whole different story. (J-Hope is a professional dancer. Maybe Jimin, Jungkook, and V too since they are in the dance line too, but I`m not sure if they see themselves as professional dancers or just the dancers of the group.)

Why so many dislikes? It's okay for an opinion different than your own. Don't punish the poor girl who is trying to share the BTS love. I wish I could hear what he was saying. Even my subtitles wouldn't pick it up. I'm also using a speaker!
