Hope you're doing ok. Domestic violence is why I had no choice but to leave my ex years ago. We were friends for years and after we had our 1st child he changed, he was active duty and became a man I non longer recognized. We lost a baby too exactly a year before we found out we were pregnant again and the way things happened it hurt me a great deal. That was a loss at 16 weeks. I'm married again to a great father, husband we have 3 kids and I may look back at my past but better off now although we (my ex and I) lost many friends that w shared, grew up with etc in our little hometown but it is what it is. Therapy with EMDR helped me immensely too especially since I was sexually assaulted too. I wish you the best. ((Hugs)) and love 🙏🙏

Keep going. I've been there. Atm...its not a physically abusive relationship. It's that he's narcissistic af. I left once, he changed for a lil while, shouldn't have gone back! I've actually sat here thinking....had he been physically abusive I'd have been able to walk away years ago. It would've been easier for me to accept. The mind torment and games are awful! Keep being strong and move forward each day. Each moment is an opportunity to gain strength, learn to smile again, and love yourself!

My ex left me in a coma with a brain injury among other things, and as soon as I got into another relationship, it was good but learned he is way more emotionally abusive then my ex. I feel that if he was physically abusive I would have left too. Now is only the beginning of healing but can't heal completely until he is out of my life for good. I isolated so much that I don't even know how to get a therapist that will help my trauma. I have thought of EMDR but so nervous to open to anyone because of the trust issues I have. My first abusive relationship we went all through school together in a small town and they didn't believe he was abusing me until I was in a coma and had to walk away from everyone and everything I knew. Your words helped me tonight!

I recently went through a breakup after an 8 year stretch and sometimes it’s hard to breathe. Everything I see, hear or do reminds me of something we did together and then I’m reminded of how he so easily walked away. You made a comment at the end of your other music video saying “I wanna do this for the rest of my life” …I hope you do follow your heart and continue with your singing career. I met my husband when I was 16 in 2005 and we have been together ever since. Got married in 2008, had our daughter in 2009. After 17 years together 14 of them being married, I was told in Feb 2022 that I’m not what he wants anymore. It feels like my heart got ripped out of my chest and it hurts beyond belief. I have to learn how to actually take care of me before anyone else besides my daughter. And I don’t know how to do so. After hearing this song, I know I’m not alone and that helps. Perfect! I had a best friend for 20 years who claimed he loved me and that he always would. He was in the military, and we kept in touch for most of that time. Something happened that caused him to disappear without a trace, but I didn't know what happened. I tried everything I thought to do, hoping to locate him. After 3 years without a word, I forced myself to move on. I believed that he must have died. I told a close friend (who was like a second mother) that there was no way he would have chosen to disappear, but she believed otherwise. Well, that's exactly what he did. After three years, he called my Mom's landline and I happened to be there. It was the strangest experience, hearing the voice of a person that I believed was dead. Such an eerie feeling...like the voice of a ghost. I was confused, happy, and angry, all in the same moment. It took years for me to forgive him and to rebuild trust. No sooner had I done that and he did it again. I would forgive him again, like a true fool. He ended up marrying, and I learned that through FB. I was sure I wouldn't hear from him again, but I was wrong. I had blocked him, his wife, and anyone else through whom he could reach me (via a back door). I was still on LinkedIn (because I couldn't figure out how to delete my account). Recently, he sent me a message, which I ignored. A month or so passed, and he sent another message, asking, "Are you still there?" I decided to mess with his head, and I answered with a simple, "Yes, I am." He replied to that, and I considered continuing the game. I decided the best move I could make would be to leave him hanging...forever. I lost my only sibling to Covid two years ago, and my Mom died just 3 months later. I'm 61 and in very poor health, and I'm too tired to deal with anyone who could hurt me or betray me again. I may very well die alone, but at least I'll leave this earth with an ounce or two of dignity. This song could very well be part of the soundtrack to my life.
