Suggestion to the parents: leave him alone!!! Don't do anything! No lessons! No music school! All of that is like prison. Let him love every second of playing and he will be a KILLER drummer in just a few years. God Bless!

As a self taught guitarist, I couldn’t disagree more. I’m fifty, and I’ve been playing for forty years. It’s still a daily struggle to avoid bad habits and bad techniques I acquired early on. I took lessons as an adult to address those issues, and it helped my playing exponentially.

This young guy has genuine talent and "listens and watches" to all that's going on around him. He doesn't need lessons but should be left to "feel his way" through the music world. I play keys but when I was six years old I had four piano lessons and the teacher told my parents "He plays by ear and if you allow him to he will always be able to play by ear". Best advice ever, as I have been playing really well all my life. Let this guy go and experience music his way as he really does "get it".

My god that kid is AMAZING. I especially noticed when "have a drink on me" started, the kid just took it all in stride, played the sh1t outta those drums and didn't even blink, just cruised through it with no bother. You hear the phrase "it's in his blood" a lot but this kid has drumming in his DNA. It is just a part of him and is a natural as breathing to him. What an epic talent and such poise and skill at such a young age. Magnificent !

He is mega awesome talented for 7 years old, and is bound to become a HUGE star! What I loved was his "heads up" alertness to be in cinc with with his bassist and rhythm guitarist, instead of hammering away virtuoso like a robot ❤❤. That's supremely impressive, and shows enormous natural talent that can't be taught! The extra confidence will come after time and age. God bless! I'm expecting special things! Meant it 😜

Avery, you are amazing on the drums. I am a self taught drummer and I taught myself how to play the drums by ear and by watching other drummers play. I never learned how to read drum note music and I never took drum lessons

This is how I pretty much learned how to play drums. I have learned everything from him and other amazing drummers. I have learned almost every by watching him. I just learned to learn song by ear and I listen to Spotify and KZbin I hear a song from the radio and just play it. I don't know how to read music notes yet but I will be soon tho. I have never had drum lessons but I gonna get drum lessons soon as well!!! Rock on Avery 🤘
