Best part of the G2 is the drag increase no doubt. It allows me to keep my old SX’s as a 20lb outfit but now the G2 MXL MC is the perfect 30-40lb casting reel using 10lbs of drag or so at strike. And it’s under $300 where before if you wanted that amount of drag you were forced into a larger piece or a couple hundred more for the Raptor.

Shouldn’t be. Has 20lbs of drag at full. I just ordered one online from another company and it’s gonna be spooled with 30lb mono before it gets to me

if you feel like you must have 2 speed and you’re price range is under $300 then the fathom is a good option. The Avet is a better product though but the two speed isn’t cheap!

This version does not but they make a magnetic cast model . I however have the non mag version and it flies
