Nice combo. Just got back from a 7 day trip to Guadalupe Island Mexico. Used my Okuma PCH 7 foot 20-50 stick with my Avet SXJ 6/4 Raptor loaded with 50 pound braid and a 40 fluro top shot for 9 Yellowfin tuna 85-to 105. Last tuna (105) "taxed" the reel a little, but after what amount to 800 plus pounds of tuna, this "beast" did the job.

Im thinking of putting the sx raptor on a Phoenix 909hj 30-80 with 80 pound Max cuatro. Do you think this reel can handle 100 pound framers?

@@GorettyEnriquez The reel can do it if you can. Just got the HXW 5/2 here in So Cal for the 2 to 3 hundred pound bluefin we have been catching. Have 2 over 230... easy peasy...

Got my avet sx raptor from Craigslist for $375 in 2013 when the price was still in the high $500. I’ve kept it nice n clean, only had 3 scratches on it. Overall it’s a great reel

All of the avet lever drags come with reel seat clamps, even the non raptors. Also, looks like you got a lefthanded model.

Sick reel!!! I have a jx 6/3 and they hook me up with parts that I need no cost! Small parts.lol. awesome Company! Dude thier maintenance program is awesome as well. The only issue I have is the reel foot sits very high.
