The reason Animal Collective sounds so indescribable is because Avey Tare is influenced by so many obscure sounds from so many eras. What's crazy though is that you can hear a ton of Animal Collectives sound traits in the songs played in this video.

I believe Brueghel was influenced by Bosch when it comes to composition but their themes are mostly different. Brueghel did more everyday stuff and I think he influenced the ”Golden age” painters in the netherlands

So I visited some Bosch-exhibitions in our city, but I've never been confronted with Brueghel somehow. Maybe Bosch is more publicly known.
