I don't know for certain what this song is about, but as someone who lives with an anxiety disorder, I felt every word of this! To me, this song speaks of experiences with anxiety. I relate with it more than I'd like to admit. It's beautiful, sorrowful, and healing all at the same time. Love it.

He said in his pre-show for the so g, is that as someone who suffers witha sxiety, his mind jumps straight to “bad” thoughts, and freezes him, blocks him. The thoughts he least needs, are the ones he goes to. But he also said its worded in Such a way for anyone with things like addiction, or attraction to the wrong “type” of people. Anything harmful for us, that we do or should fight against, but which still draws us.

An English fan here, Goodness me what a fabulous talent is & what a voice Avi has, shamefully I’d never heard of Avi 6 days ago, now I’ve heard pretty much all his Solo songs some of the best written & sung music I’ve heard in many years, I’m forever grateful for my parents bringing me up on such eclectic taste in music from Pavarotti to the carpenters to Abba to Billy Joel to Pet Shop Boys to Boyz II Men to Joan Armatrading to Paul McCartney to George Michael to David Bowie to Eddie Cochran, so basically all over the musical spectrum 😂😂😂. So even at 37 I’d like to think I have a half decent ear for exceptional music. Avi’s music is exceptional both vocally & lyrically & emotionally too. If you crossed the styles of J.Cash J.Taylor Simon/Garfunkel you get Avi. With the music industry totally saturated with bang average ‘pop & chips’ music it’s fabulous hearing a new & different sound which nowadays doesn’t happen very often. Bravo Avi 👏👏👏👏👏

My interpretation of this song is, A person who is addicted to drugs and who is really trying to change and get right!!! So if know the last thing you need is the first place you go, and your trying to get straight and close that door and head towards the light, For something new and better. I almost lost my son 2 weeks ago to a laced Fentanyl Percocet and lost consciousness and had to be given Narcan twice. But out of the blue this sing appeared on my play list and when I listened to it I felt as though it was talking to me and the struggles with addiction, Beacuse it was the first place he went,And now with help that door will stay closed!!!!
