Avi Leather: Bronco A2 Flight Jacket

This made me remember I have a flight jacket somewhere, I need to wear it more often. It's an older military horsehide model

Love Avi great quality for the price foresure. Got a D-1 that was made in China and it’s very accurate to the original and just as good as an Eastman and Real McCoy I had in a D-1 and B-6. Getting a Fivestar A-2 they even sent me picks of the finished jacket so I could look it over before they shipped. Avi’s customer service was great too. I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t have to spend the crazy prices Eastman, Real McCoy and Aero charge to get an excellent quality jacket even though I have. I’m selling some of those and replacing with these. One thing about Fivestar compared to Avi is that they have a way larger selection of mil spec A-2s so checking them out. Once word has spread they’ll go up in price I’m sure of it.

@@EvansRG78 i like it a looot! 😍😍 I haven't got an original A2 so i can't compare, but for me that A2 for itself is absolutely great! and also the price! I'm thinking on buying other jackets from Avi in the future. The only thing is that where i live i would need a bit warmer jacked B6 or D1 would be better for winter, but the style of the A2 is killer 😍😍😎😎 you won't regret

I have one of these, one of the first ‘heritage’ items I ever bought. Looking back I was still thinking of being able to get good quality on a budget, now I just wish I got a Buzz Ricksons or something similar.

I think they’re definitely a gateway option…I like these entry level options so you can figure out which style of leather jacket works best and then save up for a real banger once you’ve nailed style/fit. I always liked the aviator style but have come to realize it just doesn’t work well for my body!

@@bootsjeansandtheoddwatch too be honest i’m not sure these fit any body shape properly. even yours - which seems like a good size on you - tends to pull at the chest and neckline area when zipped up. Mine does the same (but a bit worse because it fits snugger than yours), and my build is quite proportionate, and I wonder how much you’d have to size up to resolve that particularly annoying, for me, issue. at the end of the day there are military jackets i like much better, so it’s not killing me or anything but it bears pointing out. i mostly wear it open in spring. oh and the knits on mine were rather prone to pilling. tried shaving off the pills, ended up with a hole in one of the cuffs.
