Yes the 787 on Avianca is their best business class product in the fleet so I do hope you can at some point.

If you do make sure your on the 787-8 and not their A330 as it’s a 2-2-2 configuration with angle flat seats and not Lie-Flat seats.

I am flying with them in December. I really reneed the space in business classes. I would like the luxury but space is more important. I will bring my own water and food for the flight. Thank you for the review.

Hi Brandon. Aug2022. Thanks so much for this video. Is there WiFi now on the 787-8 planes and is it possible to do video streaming throughout the journey so my partner and I can cam together?. I'm in London. What's the best way to buy Business Class return (flat seats) tickets from London Heathrow LHR to Cucuta (Via Bogota). ? And is there a way I can buy my Fiancée and her 5y kid the same tickets later but this time from Cucuta (via Bogota) to London LHR (to return later). I'm scared of flying, and your video helps me a lot. We're planning to get Married. Thank you kindly.

Your very welcome. Unfortunately Avianca doesn’t offer Wi-Fi still as far as I know. They are likely the cheapest option though with possibly Iberia as well being a decent priced Business Class fare. Bogotá doesn’t command a huge price as their isn’t tons of premium demand to/from Bogotá. The best way is to just search via Google Flights honestly. If you can make a booking 60 days in advance you may get an even better price as often times fares may have a 60 day advance purchase rule in the fare. As far as buying your fiancée and her child a ticket you could just purchase them all together and just not tell her if your trying to make it a surprise.

Great review thanks, i'm bout to take this same plane but much shorter flight so crossing fingers get a nice meal in real cutlery on the 4 hour flight! Seems like they're putting more effort now to restore former service.

(av224) is this similar to this one. long Flight so I am looking for a business seat where i can lay back and rest. stretch legs instead of a seated position all the way from point a to point b.

AV224 is flown with an A320 or A320NEO. You won’t have a lie flat seat on that route.

Thanks for watching. Avianca is a fairly large Latin American airline and I think one of the oldest in the world. I fly a lot through Latin America so experience a lot of different airlines. Avianca serves LAX,JFK, and MIA as well as a few other smaller cities.

Is not a small airline lol. You should read about Avianca's history. It will blow your mind knowing that it was the first airline ever In the Americas (1919).

Just flew business Aug 2022 787 dreamliner from Bogota to Los Angeles just over a 7 hour flight. No hot meal. Same exact box lunch as economy. No wine or beer. No pillow or blanket offered/available. Extremely sad. Food just horrible. My opinion probably not worth the upgrade. Only positive to say is that the seating chair can completely lie flat so that was nice. Otherwise, service and food was no existence or borderline same or worst as economy (my friend in economy got the same exact cold sandwich, snack, water actually before me, I was seated in 7A last row of business class he was in 12F window seat economy). Unless you want the extra leg room definitely worth the exuberant upgrade for something similar for economy.

Thanks for the report. About all you can count on is to get from point A to B with Avianca ( which they have had no issue getting me to my destination ). So if the price is right I will choose them but LATAM and Copa offer a superior experience when you look at the lounge factor and food. Not that LATAM and Copa are offering great food but at least they are. Remember Avianca won’t offer meal service on any route except for the ones that go to Europe starting in October. I just hope the price reflects that.
