Thanks a lot. I am studying ways to apply CRM principles to Oil and Gas Industry in Brazil. I consider aviation CRM an amazing option, due to the strong correlation between these two industries.

As a certified CRM instructor, I really feel I have to call you out: First of all, we do not refer to CRM as "Cockpit resource management". This term comes from the original CRM, where the cockpit were seen as the only ones needing CRM. This was then transformed into what we now know as Crew resource management as we now know that it affects the entire crew. You also go on about negative and positive attributes of the crew members. This goes against the actual idea of CRM, where we teach that everyone has different attributes, and learning how to spot them, how to work with them, how to understand them. By the way, needing a "Positive feedback" is not a negative attribue: it's human nature. As is "not being spontanious". In fact, flight crew are trained in a way that they know how to exactly act in a certain situation. Spontaneity should be avoided as it could be dangerous in the wrong circumstances. The statistic you show with 80% of flight crew being the cause of an accident was explained wrong: The statistic is actually showing the MAIN cause of the accident. This means that, although 80% of accidents may have a human factor as the main issue, they don't take into account the external factors such as causes of fatigue, weather, maintainence etc. Crew incapacitation has nothing to do with CRM. If you are to take the time to do a CRM video, at least use an instructor or researchers who know what they are teaching, and perhaps do a little research on the topic before hand. You managed to miss most of the main points of CRM (SHELL model, Fatigue, Swiss cheese/Chain of errors/FORDEC) and add in a load of irrelevant and misleading information.

To add - now CRM is converting to TRM - Team - since accuracy in business process influence safety - Swiss Cheese! Just imagine crew is under stress since accounting office did not transfer per diem.

I’ve been instructing CRM courses as an instructor pilot in my airline since 5 years,in this video I adored how the structure and human factor’s importance simplified and understandable.But I would love to hear more with elements here explained in detail,maybe that’d be in an another video and would attract attendees attention , a chance to make them believe in CRM course’s vital importance. THANK YOU FOR SHARING.

Good evening please is there any difference between flight crew and cabin crew thanks
@K2KnockOut
@K2KnockOut 8 ай бұрын
Flight crew includes those in the cockpit like that pilot, co-pilot, navigator etc. cabin crew is the flight attendants, marshals, or any other employees. In other words the cabin crew is an umbrella term for all employees on board the plane except for those in the cockpit, and flight crew is the term for those operating the plane itself.

Using data from 1990 in a 2018 presentation severely discredits your presentation. Your definition of CRM is not the industry standard either.
