that was the ONLY video about TDR straight forward to the point with practical examples and with NO useless bla bla bla bla ... thank you.

Thanks for your advice, we bought the AEA 20/20 based on your videos for our cargo airline. It has already paid for itself.

Thanks a lot! I've been working as an outside plant tech for almost 2 years and we have a few different models of tdr in the shop But no knew how to use them and of course the company won't pay for training. I picked it up about a year ago and have fiddled with out figuring it out as I went along. But I am by no means an expert with it, and finding resources to learn from have really proven difficult My job gets extra tuff because I have to troubleshoot sections as far as 60k feet very regularly and I really can't figure out how to interpret these things past 5k feet and there really are very limited resources out there to educate on this stuff So thank you for taking the time, I will be sure to show all my coworkers this video

I used a Tektronix 1502 and 1503 for many years. Used mostly for RF cables on aircraft. First learned to use it in the Air Force. Later went to work for the Army and they had no clue, but they did have one. Now retired, I purchased one at a auction 20 years ago and use it in Amateur radio as a hobby.

Thanks for taking the time to share. It simply amazes me how companies refuse to provide training on tools that will practically eliminate the time required to troubleshoot product down time. I previously worked for a major aircraft manufacturing company in the Pacific Northwest. The company is schedule driven, but would happily let technicians spend days struggling with a repair rather than allowing me to make a training video on company time showing how to use the TDR.

They don't understand that it would save them money. In the AF we had diagrams that should the settings and the distance plus what a normal trace should look like per antenna. In the army side none existed so I quickly made a simple manual. I should of submitted it for approval but I was hired at another job. They probably still use it as a TS aid.

You can find them on line by doing an internet search on the words "2020e time domain reflectometer shopping". Many different sights will come up. The TDR I did this video on was made by a company called "AEA technology".

Hello, mate! I'm providing some kind of EWIS training for AME outside of Europe. Could you please give the approval to use this video during the TDR topic explanation? Will be very appreciative of that! Thank you for sharing of your deep knowledge and extended experience!

Hello, thank you very much for contacting me. Please feel free to use any of my videos during your training. Training others is why I posted them!! Also, if you are interested, I also posted videos on how to troubleshoot a two wire system and how aircraft inter-phone systems operate. Please see my play list called "AVIATION".

@@bounder97Thanks a lot! Yes, I've seen already the video about wiring troubleshooting. Looks like it was the first video that directed me to your channel) Despite I did TBS many times before, some information was very useful just because I haven't deal with some cases described in the video.
