Hi La & Ma. Either Argentinian Army, Naval and Air Force had produced highly skilled pilots. A proof of that is how outstandingly they had performed in the Malvina/Falkland conflict back in 1982. As an aviation enthusiast, it amazes me how well this pilots fly in such "old" aircrafts with almost no "modern" technology such as glass cockpit and still deliver an excellent performance with "steam gauges". On a side note, it happily surprised me they let you in the cockpit as non-argentinian civilians to record most of the dialogues and procedures. Kudos to the crew. Sadly, I didn´t find any video so far from your tour to the naval museum. May be in editing process? BTW: welcome to my country. I hope you enjoy it, specially the gastronomy. Cheers from NE Patagonia, Argentina.

Hi! Thank you for your kind words! These highly skilled pilots really did show how to operate this classic jet in some tricky conditions! It was so cool to see. We as well were surprised that they let us in shooting this footage. The video has been seen and approved for publishing by the crew members before the upload to youtube. Regarding the museum footage, unfortunately, the weather was so bad during our museum visit that we did not shoot any video footage here. If you check out our trip blog on our website, or via the following link, you can see the photos that we took there! It was a brilliant museum with some great volunteers and an amazing collection! This is the link to our blog: www.lama-aviation.com/blog/travel-blogs-1/2024/south-america-a-flight-back-in-time We had a great time in Argentina, the gastronomy was superb! Cheers from The Netherlands! ^Lars&Marieke

@@LaMaAviation Thank you for answering so quickly! If I´m not wrong, the Fokker factory is actually from the Netherland, is it so? I flew in both of the aircraft the Argentinian Air force has: F27 and F28 as we called down here. As soon as I finish this comment, I´ll watch your link. I´m sorry about the weather condition you had to face that journey, but there will be always second chances. Maybe next time you can manage a longer trip and enjoy more of what we can offer to our tourists such as the Iguazu falls, Bariloche, Ushuaia and so on. BTW, IDK if you had time to appreciate the architecture of Buenos Aires; it´s simply mind-blowing. Again, cheers from NE Patagonia.

@@walterweigert9840 You're welcome! The Fokker factory indeed used to be our national pride, however, Fokker went bankrupt in 1996. So nowadays, Fokker Technologies only builds and delivers aircraft components and maintenance services instead of building complete aircraft. Still, Fokker aircraft feel as "our" Dutch heritage and pride. As you already might have read in our blog by the time you see this comment, you see that we indeed took some time to discover the beautiful city of Buenos Aires as well as a brief but beautiful visit to the Iguazu Falls. Still, we would love to come back to see more of your beautiful country. We were a little short on time and budget with this visit, but next time we definitely will take our time in Argentina! :)

I see that they have retroitted gps systems in the aircraft but they have the autopilot in heading mode throughout the flight. Is the gps purely advisory or is it coupled into the autopilot?

too sad that some aircrafts disappear, it's like watching a great animal go extinct
