Get into the wind, trimmers adjusted for landing, set the proper glide slope, kill the motor, get out the seat, one foot in front of the other, ready to run, eyes long on the horizon, wait, wait, (6 feet) pressure, pressure, all the way down, run, run, run, kite the wing, turn, and de-power the glider.
This is all something that should be said internally as you're starting your journey to becoming a confident pilot.
Enjoy this PPG Educational film with Micah Stevens, as he explains how you can refine your paramotor landings.

hello. My name is Richard and I am writing to you from Spain. Since I was a child I have dreamed of practicing this sport and in the end I reached the age of 37, which is when I started practicing it. After going through school and taking my Paramotor initiation course here in Madrid, I am writing to thank you for the landing and takeoff videos you have made. In my case, I have always been good at takeoff from the beginning, while I had three horrible landings at the beginning with a big accident in one of them in which I almost put the integrity of my legs at risk. After watching your videos I understood the dynamics of flight during landing and the need to contain the energy until the end to take advantage of it and squeeze it out at the end. I wanted to thank you personally but the thousands of kilometers that separate you make it impossible. That's why I'm writing to you here. I hope that one day we can meet and fly together. A cordial greeting from Spain. 🇪🇸

great video I am a paramotor pilot. and came from when I was much younger "moto x" and back then for certain techniques they videoed the sections that can help with speed and position. just like the parts of the video shown here. when an instructor mentions how you could have improved not all the time does it sink. but watching yourself on a video will sink in far better.

Great video, thanks so much for putting it together, and extra thanks for including the turtle. A a new pilot I like to see that even with things don't go perfect, don't panic, just do what your trained (in this case start reeling in that B-line). I Got an opportunity to practice that during kiting when a stronger gust hit me and started to drag me, grabbed that B-line and just reeled it in.

I broke my leg trying to land based on this school's instructions. They will say, "don't look at the ground" and "the runway is not lava". Both of those statements are lies as I didn't know when to flare because I wasn't looking at the ground, and I broke my leg on the runway.

You are supposed to look forward in order to be able to perceive height by watching the horizon. All instructors that I know of teach that method. Just because you are a clumsy turd doesn't mean this school is responsible.

i am absolutely baffled at why ANYONE, no matter what their experience level, would feel that having their ASS touch the ground FIRST is a good idea? Its like, did u forget that there is a motor on ur back???? Did u forget u HAVE LEGS??? it just completely makes me crazy. its like they are idk afraid of the ground or something. I cant figure it out. Its maddening to watch.

@dejavukrewe

There are some early stages of learning in these examples. Active piloting is taught, but with newbie pilots the instructors are asking the students to not do anything with their hands around 40 feet. Lastly the baby’s are here because we’re a family. I do appreciate the comment and hope that we create enough baby-free content for you in some of our other films. Blue skies friend.
