I've realized that usually when he gets interviewed he's kinda shy but on this interview he was deadass relaxed

A couple of reasons: 1: This was around a time where he actually wanted to go out and do interviews. He’s doing what he wants to do musically and he was a very happy soul around this time. 2: (This interviewer, is absolutely incredible. Not only was she super sweet but she was asking the right questions.) Tim disliked questions on loop or ones that were irrelevant to the music. She’s asking him about his sound, the entire art behind the music, etc. It had a very genuine feel to it. Referencing this from his biography, highly recommend everyone to go read it. R.I.P. Tim 🤍

@@adweadad969 wow it's amazing that I got such a lengthy reply after 2 years because I'm still intrigued by this. 1. yes those people working around him were d-bags. As mentioned by pasquale rotella, the music industry is sadistic, they milk the cow until it bleeds. So these people are bad. Whatever they said at interviews are just words to justify themselves. 2. for his friends, maybe it was hard to draw a line between "is he for real going to kill himself?" or "is he going to hang on and figure things out and become stronger? or "he's just saying things figuratively?" because in real life it's hard to differentiate this and sure he didn't make a plan to do this. 3. maybe Tim himself was too perfectionist and he pushed himself to please people around him and let people take advantage of him. Drove himself crazy when he's expected of 'being better than the last one', while on a time constraint. Stressed himself up and eventually lost his purpose of living other than for running.

@@SiMeTiMe THAT! yes THAT got me so confused for a long time, maybe even until now. I really can't make up an explanation for that. I even had a theory that he might still be alive. But don't mind me :D My only possible reasoning is probably he lost his purpose for living and that he can't connect with anyone on a deep spiritual level to help his see the light again (as what I've gathered from his songs, he looked like he was looking for a missing piece or person in his life)

He looked very healthy in this interview compared to many done in 14-15. Dude looked energetic, excited, and, most importantly, happy. Don't know what happened to him. I guess he couldn't outrun his demons that he developed in his touring years. Miss you bud ❤❤❤❤😭

@Soldagg well i hate to break it to you but he really did commit suicide. You don't undertand why? 1 he told EVERYONE he had anxiety but no one listened 2 He wanted to stop touring because of his mental illnesses but everyone only cared about the money he would lose which he clearly didn't give a single fuck about. So does that clarify things for you?
@Nathanator2 жыл бұрын
Late response, but he was doing a lot better especially a week or two before his death, but from a combination of drinking again, taking ayahuasca, and meditating for many hours a day, he had a sudden drop in emotions and entered a state of psychosis where he lost control of his emotions and ended up doing it :( This is according to the biography and an interview with his mom, it’s heartbreaking.

2:53 - I recently watched the "true stories" documentary, which actually had some footage of Tim singing in the studio (for the purpose of giving the singer who was being recorded a reference point, I think he was working with Aloe Blacc and trying to get something out of him). And truth be told - Tim is a good singer. At the very least he has a good ear, and he hits all the notes (which probably shouldn't come as a surprise).
@amandatenney30283 жыл бұрын
I freaking love catching his singing voice in his studio sessions. And I love his vocals in "True Believer" and "Promises of Tears." I'm not surprised his singing voice sounds beautiful, especially seeing as 1: he has the musical ear and 2: his speaking voice is beautiful. He's one of my major heroes (I'm working on some music of my own). Like him, not much into performing; the creation is where it's at.
