The awesome thing is Dan is a legendary bluegrass singer, he was George Clooneys singing voice in "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" (Dan's wife loved it, telling him: "George Clooneys face with your voice coming out? That's my fantasy!") By Avicii and Dan collaborating they each turned a bit of their audience on to the other :)

Besides "Hey Brother", Dan Tyminski is best known in the U. S. for two things: Being the singing voice of George Clooney on "Man of Constant Sorrow" in the Coen Bros. movie "O Brother, Where Art Thou", and as a member of Alison Krauss and Union Station for over 20 years (lead and backing vocals; guitar and mandolin). Dan Tyminski, the vocalist, is a Bluegrass artist who's mainly worked with Alison Krauss. He's also the singing voice to George Clooney's character in "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" (2000). He's a dad in real life, which explains his "dad" look. He's a country boy where it's about the art of the music sound and not how you look!

Dan Tyminski is a freaking legend in the country/bluegrass world. He used to play and sing for "Union Station" and now he is solo. He actually has a bluegrass remake of this song on one of his albums and it's absolutely FIRE. Another song you may know from him is "Man of Constant Sorrow" from the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Though". Also if you want to hear one of his best songs ever "The Boy Who Wouldn't Hoe Corn" is an absolute gem. Love Dan and love his music. Crazy what Avicii did though... you never know who's in pain. Reach out if you are struggling! It's not worth dying. People WILL miss you. You are loved despite how you feel.

@Gunner Storm Tim's father has stated he suffered from depression and anxiety even before he got into music
@itsvizor171
@itsvizor171 5 жыл бұрын
Gunner Storm He was struggling with his mental health from the beginning. It wasn’t a product of his career, he already had issues since his teenage. His family has been open about it. Although he developed quite a few health problems during his time in the industry, I believe he could’ve survived them. Plus, I don’t think you understand the concept of depression. You don’t just grow out of it. It is very ignorant of you if you believe that. And NOBODY’S blaming Tim. We all know he was pushed past his limits and he probably would’ve stayed longer if it wasn’t for his management. But with the level of mental torment he was going through, I don’t think he would’ve hung around very long. If he took such a drastic measure, I would say he had already thought quite a lot about it, it wasn’t a spur of the moment thing. He was very observant and thoughtful. And if you listen to all of his music, right from the start, you’d definitely understand that he wasn’t well. All of his music is a plea of help, and speaks of his troubles. I’m just blown away by how we didn’t realise this from the very start. It all unraveled in front of our eyes, in front o& millions o& people and we couldn’t do anything.

Finally we can see the faces behind those great voices that accompanied Avicii in his songs. I'm not a total fan of the electronic genre, but I do like several songs, and what Avicii did was very innovative in my humble opinion, because he expanded the genre by mixing it with classic styles like bluegrass or folk among others. Nothing to do with the rest of what I'm saying but I love that girls face at 0:39. Gorgeous!

I lived 25 years in the same Stockholm neighbourhood where and when Avicii grownd up. Some weeks ago our local church held a sermon and with church choir only sang Avicii themed songs. Queue to church that evening went several blocks and this song seemed to touch many of our hearts particular deep that memorable evening.

Avicii songs were my childhood. I remember listening to his songs in the car when we went on holidays, the windows opened with the wind and the sun, singing along (I learnt English thanks to songs), listening to them on repeat, dancing. Anyway I miss those days and above all I miss Tim. I'm gonna make my children listen to these songs like my dad made me listen to the Beatles and other artists from his childhood.
