Happy 12th Anniversary to ICBTO. How is this song 12 years old? I literally remember when it was released that December going into January 2013. I was only 4 and now I'm 15 This is one of my and my cousin's favorite songs of 2012. I miss when big room EDM was so popular during these times. I know people might say that I was too young to remember, but I have a great memory, and I can remember every moment since March 27th, 2010. I'm so happy I grew up with this music and my cousins loved this type of music including rap and pop. I really can't believe this popular song is really 12 years old. Who else remembers this being played on the radio, movies, and other platforms? (They still play this song in many movies today, but you know what I mean). I miss the golden days of EDM from 2010, 2010 was the last-born generation of people who remembered this song. I'm 2008 by the way. I was only 4 when this came out, I remember my cousins and I were dancing to this song. I'm so happy this song is still popular to this day. I just really can't believe how fast time went by. It's been a great 12 years and still at 15, I love this song. This was our childhood, please don't let this song die in the next 10 to 20 years. Wow, what a great 12 years!! That is crazy! I miss music from 2010 - 2016. The 2010s were a phenomenal decade for music and I'd do anything to be young again and relieve that. 2010 - 2013 was big room EDM, house, big house, techno, and progressive house. 2014 - 2017 was Tropic House, bass EDM, some big room songs, trap, and synth. 2018 - 2019 was calming EDM, sing-along house, big trap, and emo EDM. Overall, the early 2010s carried EDM from 2010 - 2015. What a wonderful 12 years! I miss when Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Drake, Taylor Swift, and other singers were creating hit after hit. I can relate so much to the music because my life has been shit these past 2 years and now I finally feel free by living my life, minus getting hit by a truck at the end of the video, lol. 12 years later!! December 24, 2012 - December 24, 2024!!

Great song and a reflection of the existential crisis we sometimes feel, from time to time. But what makes me really sad is knowing that Avicii took his own life and therefore this song might be a reflection of the unbearable pain he might had felt inside. R.I.P Avicii. You'll always be remembered.

That’s definitely what this song is about. “I can be the one to make you feel that way, I can be the one to set you free” It’s not a love song. It’s a metaphor basically saying that his music is an escape from society and the stress of every day life. I just wish someone could have given him that feeling of escape like he did for us.

That's not old, simply electro house and dance electronic music of today is not so better than 3 or 4 years ago. Today the producers copy 90s ideas or they get too minimal. Today's youth think the new stuff is cool but they don't know the older stuff ( since 3 years ago) is better

Avicii music just hits different, always a deep meaning behind his songs that we can all relate too. I feel the ones who leave us early are just hyper aware of the societal structures we're all forced into and cannot handle it and understandably so. His music made a massive impact, I always remember loving this song as a teenager and it began my motivation to try my hardest to not be trapped in an office job like this women was. I work remotely currently and I love the freedom of it. Avicii's impact and music will forever live on x

Now that I'm not a kid anymore and got a job... I feel I can totally relate to this woman. I can't help feeling sad and weepy when I see this video. I just think of work draining my life each day, getting me stressed and destroying my personal and social life. I'm 23 years old. I'm about to make 2 years in my job and the stress I'm feeling is killing me... I can't believe this is going to be like this for the rest of my life. I really don't know how we can consent all these greedy enterprises to ruin our lives like this. I don't want to be a money machine that overheats at the end of the day so my boss can have a life of luxury. This song really makes me want to quit my job

I’m still in school but I’m planning to get a job where I do something that I like to do and where I will leave a lasting impact on my country. But the job I have picked might become boring and tedious to me, so there’s really no telling if I’ll end up like the woman in this video. In my opinion a good job is one where there’s a balance between doing what earns money and what you enjoy doing. Sadly for many people this is impossible to find.

I can remember being in a club in Sheffield when i was 18 around Christmas December 2012. This song in the UK wasn't even big or heard of then and the DJ played it on a crowded dance floor. Nobody really paid much attention to it, but i was completely taken back by this song. I can remember just going into a state of trance, being memorised by the disco lights, watching people move and the night slip away all within that room. The record just instantly clicked with me, it made sense. I've never had a feeling ever since with any type of music and that particular moment will be a memory of a life time and no doubt my kids, grand-kids will get fed up of me reminiscing about the good old days of Avicii. It's such a beautiful, secretly depressing yet highly motivational track that always electrifies me with mixed feelings and emotions. Fantastic.
