This video arrived at 10:00 pm California time. So that would make it early morning UK time. I really like the rosy red color of her abdomen, the pale pink toes, and the lovely silvery hairs all over. Beautiful. Looking forward to seeing your new "room" fill up with creatures!

Avics are one of my all-time favorite tarantulas. They are sort-of whimsical in their behavior, and so sweet-natured, all in all. 😊

She looks more like a cute fluffy toy rather than a large tarantula spider, her new enclosure looks so good, her own safe little part of the forest. Excellent video as always.

They are stunning spiders. I've got around 70 different tarantulas and true spiders, but for some reason never had any avic species. Think I need to get one soon as they are beautiful.

That is one glorious spider! The Avics are very special, indeed. :) Another element that people seem to fuss over are the Exo Terra enclosures. I have heard that the metal mesh screen on top can be dangerous to the spiders, but seeing that you use them all the time must surely mean that it is extremely rare for the spiders to get their feet caught in the mesh. May I ask your opinion on this?
@jaygullion801311 сағат бұрын
Have you kept these before mr Dave? Or is this a new spider to the collection? I remember seeing the avic avic but not these! I could be wrong though! Everything I've been through has cooked my brain lol at any rate great video as usual Mr Dave! Was watching some of your older vids just yesterday like when you went to take a sac from a calciatum and rehouse and discovered thebsac had hatched without you knowing! 207 babies! What a great suprise lol ! Good stuff! Everyone needs to watch Dave's older vids if you havnt! Really good ones! Cheers Mrs Dave great video again! Good job filming mrs camera lady!

I have a question. Since spiders like to be hidden do you sometimes make sure they can stay nice and cozy? Because my Brachypelma hamorii, Christina didn’t eat for a while because she probably felt too exposed so I stuffed her enclosure full with fake plants so she felt nice and hidden. Now she ate a cockroach and two grasshoppers! I don’t like to disturb her, and she’s much happier now. Only downside is that I have to use a flashlight to actually find her.😂

The majority of my small collection are pokies and avics. The variegata are hard to come by here, unfortunately mine is now a mm with no one to send him to for breeding 😢 I'm curious to know if the females get larger than the braunshauseni females. Since you have both maybe when they are mature we can find out. Neither one of my braunshauseni are mature yet and I don't have a female variegata

If you heat up hot glue for 45 minutes to 1 hour, you will get the strongest bond. It can practically withstand anything.
@JoanneKew-t9p16 сағат бұрын
Hi Dave. I love them we had two Avicularia Avicularia, a juvenile and a sling. We lost both, just can't seem to keep them, do you have any advice. I'm just too nervous to try again, having failed twice. Xxx❤
@mattmeyer712011 сағат бұрын
Your camera and lighting definitely don't do this species justice. Try to get a light somewhere between 5000k and 6500k and she'll just glow. The excessive guard hairs will appear to be individual white fiber optics with an overall powder blue tinge throughout the legs and carapace. Just an amazing animal to see in person.

My avic’s bum got rubbed off on her cork bark because my curious cat wouldn’t stop sitting on the lid when I wasn’t home. I couldn’t figure out what happened I thought she was sick.
