Avid Flyer Preflight, Takeoff and Landing

This is how I preflight the Avid Flyer and manage the Rotax 582. Hope this helps and if you do it different, I would love to hear about it.

Great video! Liked the detail on the fuel system venting. I use TCP fuel treatment with 100LL on my Avid Flyer. Enjoy all your videos, keep them coming. What type camera are you using?

Love the avid! What brand is that shelter? Where did you buy it from?

Have you used different props to find the best performance? If so which props and what were the comparisons?

I have not, I have only ran with the Warp Drive. There is tons of info out there on this, from 2 blades to 3 and brands. Kit plane mag just did a great article on all the brands, its worth the read.

Do you drain gas when done flying? Do you use DECALIN to remove lead from gasoline?

No I keep the fuel in the tanks and to combat the lead building up a change plugs every 25 hours.

Also do you not use the flaps?

Yes I use full flaps on takeoffs and on landings. When I put the flaps in on landings depends on my position from touch down. I go off of feel.
