86 is the most underrated & underhyped anime in anime history, imo. And other bland anime gets more popularity than this masterpiece. The story, originality, OSTs, characters, voice acting, character depth, themes (racism, war, freedom), animation, screenwriting, suspense are all unmatched. Just thinking about these gives me chills. I swear there's not a single time I would be able to hold my tears when watching the final 2 episodes of S2, "Shin" & "Handler One". It's my 2nd fav anime after AOT. I couldn't find any flaw in this. Eagerly waiting for further seasons. Currently reading the Light Novel.

I put 86 up there with other anime masterpieces like Monster and Cowbiy Bebop - and even though it hsd a few (very) minor issues it quickly became my fav anime of all time (a title previously kept by FMA brotherhood and terror in resonance)

well i already read Light Novel 86, but Honestly i don't really want S2, because my heart can take it, seriously Lena and Shin relationship is indeed progressing, But in same time we will seeing sad Thing (Annetta regret to Shin or Anju's fear to opening her heart to someone) and Brutal Thing (Human Experiment by Legion, the Dark Side and the truth between the Annetta and Shin families in Para-Raid Experiment and about Production Human to Legion.) after all 86 Story is still about War, corrupt government and Human Experiment. what i want is they have Happy Ending, and never lost someone anymore.

86 is such a special series. So freaking good! Kinda sneaky release aswell. No one was thinking that this Anime would be the hit it turned out to be, but here you see what carefull care and consideration to the source material can do and if taken the correct amount of time can make the viewers feel when watching. I fucking bawled my eyes out at the end of Season 2. Such a great ending.

As someone who doesn't like anime, this show really opened my eyes. Everyone talks about ep22, which is amazing, of course. But ep9 is the first time i ever really cried because of a story. I can tear up a bunch, but ep 9 was like popping a balloon inside of me. I had watched the 9 episodes in a row, and I didn't realize how much I was connecting to the story. I was just glad I didn't get bored like usual when trying to watch an anime. So in my memory, episode 9 is more special because of that I don't know if this song even played in ep9. But that moment when she starts running to stay in the communication range, so she can listen to their voices just a little longer. And they are riding off to their deaths, just talking about what they'd like to have for dinner, so innocent. She has no life, no friends, and she lives with their voices all day, vicariously experiencing a true friendship, a meaningful life. And every day she sends them to their deaths, and she can't really help them. They never really needed her, or wanted her. Yet she is nothing without them. She wishes she could just die with them. And she would do it if it meant she could spend one more day with their voices I think this story is constantly there during every episode, but in episode 9, it really hits a peak. I dunno. The desperation of physically running to stay within comms range, with the music playing, and the aloof small talk juxtapositioned with her utterly breathless exhaustion. She is literally running as hard as she can until she can't run anymore. The powerlessness completely devours her in that scene. That hit me like a ton of bricks. God damn it

@@KunjaBihariKrishna couldn't agree more. The "We are going on ahead, Major" scene has to be one of my favorites from the series easily. Such an iconic scene. And what I love the most about that scene is that the emotions you feel during that scene are really mixed and complicated. On one hand, you are kinda happy that they finally have freedom and are out of this shitty country's tyrany. But on the other hand, you are concerned for them as to whether they will be able to survive out there. Up until now, they had Lena to help and assist them. But now? They don't have Lena's guidance and support anymore. And what's worse is, Lena would never be able to find out if the last 5 were able to survive out there or not. She will never know their fate. But, realistically speaking, Lena is most probably gonna assume that they are gonna die. Anyone in her place would. And oh boy, the music just elevates the emotions of that scene to a whole new level. Everyone keeps talking about Sawano greatness, but no one says anything about Kohta Yamamoto's works. "Hear my voice", "Two World's Apart" , and "Slumdog Paradise" are some of his stand out OSTs from 86.

86 is the most beautiful anime i've ever seen/watched this anime had me on the edge of my seat this is one of the first anime that i actually shed a tear to and i dont regret watching it i love this anime to death the emotion in this song basically breaks down the vibe for the whole show and i love it i absolutely loved the ending with them two meeting the attention to detail in the last two episodes was crazy it doesnt need a season two but if it releases i will watch it for sure i hope they are doing well now and having fun that picture in the last scene had alot of emotion and i feel happy for shin but to anyone reading this i highly recommend this anime have a blessed day💯🙏

this anime is one of the best anime I have ever wanted the story line the character development everything fell in the right place there is nothing wrong in the story it's perfect a true Masterpiece when it first came out I start watching just out of curiosity but then I just get hooked up with the Anime back then there were only 11 episodes so I was kind of disappointed this anime won't get finished after all,but few years after I was scrolling on shorts and I watching short about 86 Ending when I see the scene that I have never watch I was kind of surprise and quickly start to watching it again and finally finished. AND Truly I have to say the ending was the best I have watch in Anime.❤
