Great video. I have one question that is off topic. I have updated my Avid to the latest version. But since doing so i can not see my Projects in the projects window when launched. is there a way to get them back?

do you mean you don't see the project window, or you see it but the list of projects is empty or doesn't have some of yours? If the former, can you explain what happens on launch instead? If the latter, try clicking the folder icon at the top for project directory and navigating to wherever your previous projects are stored (default Mac location is your user's Documents folder --> Avid Projects, don't remember off the top of my head what the default Windows location is but it's something similar)

@@filmprofmark When i launch Avid i don't see the list of projects or thumb nails to launch the projects I have to open the locations folder and find my projects. This seem to be happening on one of my external hard drives. The other hard drives every thing shows as expected. I have created a new project to see if the project list shows up on launch but still project or no thumbnail. I am using a Mac, i think it might be the harddrive but not sure. Thanks for the reply

Hmm. Not sure but it *sounds* like an issue with that drive, since the others are behaving normally? Something to try is load up one of the projects on that drive, then close the project (Command-W) without quitting Avid, and see if then it brings you to the launch window you're expecting? If so, then try quitting and rebooting Avid with that drive still connected and see if then it shows up when you relaunch the program? Alternately try moving your projects to another drive (wherever your default projects location is) and see if they show up then. Good luck!

This is nice technique but everytime i open a new project/same user profile, the bin view goes back to basic ? I want my bin view attached to my user profile even i close a project/ open another project the bin view must be my own. is there anyway to link all of them ?

Good note, should've included this - yes, they are attached to your user profile and you can have them all open to your choice of views by default. Open your settings, go to the user tab, and choose the "Bin" settings. On the bottom of this group of settings you'll see an option for "Set Default Bin View." Choose the one you want, whether one of the existing ones or another you've created. Save settings. I *think* you have to close the project and relaunch it for this to take effect but in any case next time you come in all the bins should open up in that view to start.

@@filmprofmark Hi , thanks for your reply. I did exactly like you mentioned but it again goes back to basic/untitled. I am using MC ultimate 2024.6 version. I checked in the Bin settings just to see if it is also changed to basic but no it shows my own created preset there 😕 I am confused now. My preset can only be seen in that one particular project. Project change and it goes back to basic. Is this a bug in avid ?

Just posted a video about this, or at least how it's *supposed* to work. Maybe a bug if it can only be seen in one project for you? kzbin.info/www/bejne/lWG8XqODasyfjs0

not sure if that means now you're stronger for having watched this, or that this video is a flex, or what, but thanks for watching in any case :-)
