Great fly! I find it much easier to weave without letting go of the floss. It takes a bit of practice, but much easier. Great instructional video though.

This weave is even easier if you use a crochet hook to create the knots. Torill Kolbu from Scandinavia did the weave that way.

That's a marvellous instructional demo. Up-ticked. You REALLY don't need the distracting low volume elevator music background - this video is too good for that sort of (background music for the weak-minded) stuffing. That said, I'm off to the vice to try your method, so thanks.

I have a question about the vice used in the video. I have the Odyssey by griffin but I wanted to upgrade. Would you recommend the mongoose vice? I’m tying everything from #16 zebra midge up to a 2/0 steamer.

Good question, based on what you want to tie we think the mongoose would be a good choice and nice upgrade.
