We are in Avignon right now and did not realize that the TGV station was not the central station. We took the train from Bordeaux (not TGV) into Avignon central. Tomorrow we are taking the TGV train to Rennes. We would have gone back the Avignon central and would have certainly missed our train. Thank you for sharing and making such great content!! You really saved us a lot of stress and loss! Now we’re off to Pont d’Avignon for the afternoon. Thank you!!

I'd like to reinforce the idea of visiting Pont du Gard; it's great. Also, we rented a car and the rental guy said he'd meet us at the train station. We clarified that we would be at the TGV station, but we waited and waited. Eventually he showed up; he'd gone to the other station. Nowadays with a cell phone that would be less of a problem. The food is good and the people are fine, but a waiter pretended to not understand what a pint (as in a pint of beer) was, so I tried medio litro, mixing in a little spanish, and he got it.

What music is popular in France?Are there many dance clubs or places to go watch live music? I like it all: electronic, jazz, hip hop, latin, rock and roll, etc.

What do you think people in France listen to? lol It's like any other western country, you can find all types of live music bars, all types of clubs, all types of concerts, etc. In my small city we have a hard rock live music bar right next to a dance music club. So in bigger cities you literally have everything

I love Avignon and Provence. I found going into the papal palace a waste of money...there is nothing inside it! My French friends did warn me not to bother! I prefer to wander round the town.
