The first step of those deep sway hip movements I've never seen before and they were exquisite. Nataly Hay gave a diverse and energetic performance. What I love about watching belly dancing like this is that a heterosexual woman like me can enjoy the sight of a beautiful woman with a proper womanly body moving gracefully to music in such an exquisite way - and actually be able to say so. Without being treated as weird, or a closet perv. Women should be able to compliment other women, especially when they are as talented, elegant and such a joy to behold as this. And we should be allowed to see that beauty for a woman does not have to mean being a stick thin fashion model. Women do not need to live in a world where they are told what to look like, and where they are raised to criticize, and to expect criticism, should their looks fall short. I said she's very graceful and I'm sure by her sensual movements and control that she's absolutely a trained dancer and in most likely contemporary art of dance, ballet, jazz, maybe ballroom..?? My point is I'm well aquainted with and trained in the art of traditional Arabian Seduction Trance Dance "belly dancing"..in this particular style of dancing**less is NOT more by way of moving your hips, belly rolls (seductive yet doesn't mean you must show a lot of skin)..using every muscle in your body to roll belly while the rest of body is still or moving in another way. Never showing on your face at any time anything other than a confident, flirtatious smile even though it's not only the Oldest Dance but the hardest! ***** it is a learning process. I think she is beautiful, Mariah just said that there isn't much belly dance. Which she is right, she didn't say that the dancer was bad in any way, just that it just wasn't much belly dance involved. I like the dance, I just wouldn't call it belly dance. It isn't fluid and smooth. She is too stiff in some moves. This is just my opinion.

For those of you who criticize her technique, looks and movements... I wonder how enjoyable it would be to watch YOU all giving a command performance showing us the right way. It's not an easy form of dance to master. One has to learn to isolate parts of the body and make it look effortless which she does beautifully. I think you're just jealous.
