Blade Runner - Opening Titles In The Style Of 2049 [HD 1080p]

The opening title sequence of Blade Runner 2049 really pays homage to how the 1982 original opened and at the same time does its own thing. So I thought, why not try and see how the original film would look like with the opening text crawl and titles presented as in 2049. So - here's this little thing. Enjoy.

The eye wasn't in the original cuts of Blade Runner. It didn't get added to the film until the director's cut or final cut

This was my exact thought too: if only he had the Foley track (spinner flying by, the lightning, the flares from the cracking towers) it would be a perfect blend of "old" and "new" Blade Runner. Nice work avindustries13 - and now you have a challenge...(get the sound effects in)! :-)

Well, I don't know, I had a problem with the way the logos opened. I liked the coloring of the logos red from the trailer better. As much as I love that new movie, the logos felt more like I was going to be watching a hacker movie or an alien invasion movie of some sort rather than a Blade Runner movie. Again, a little nitpicky, except I actually like the red-dyed company logos from the trailer!

2049 is a masterpiece. I enjoy the original as well. However, I think by the 40th anniversary, there should be another cut of Blade Runner. Nothing too dramatic. Everything in story is kept the same. I just think there's some parts of the film that could be updated, such as the beginning. Rework the opening to something along the lines of this. Keeping it fresh while still conserving what made it great in the first place. Call it 'Blade Runner: Redux'
