My church uses an analog console and I just bought the aviom personal mixing system. I have a 16 channel trs patch cable, will it work if it’s connected from the insert on the console to the in of the input module? Or does it have to use an insert cable?

Well I mean like channel one can be instrument, vocal, effects, group monitors etc. Another question is do I need to use two channels just for effects?

Spent $4k on one of these systems. The CAT cables won't stay secure in ANY of the. Expensive POS.

Are the plastic locking clips on the ends of your CAT5 cables broken or misshapen? It may also be that the ports on the unit may need to be replaced. How long have you owned the unit before the problem began or has the issue been there right out of the box?

No, absolutely not. It is at the insert point of each station where they are shoddy construction. I have 5 A-16II mixers on stage in a permanent install and I have one which is completely taken out of the loop because it just throws static, and 3 others Jerry rigged with electric tape wedged in after trying 3 different brands of CAT5 starting with the ones that came with the units, then buying a CAT5 gun and making my own. Hopefully the new units they are selling are better.
